Shocks go 1-2-4-6 in the 400 and now lead by 24 points over UNI through 9 events.

There are 8 events yet to be scored....we have 1 really, really strong event left....the men certainly looking to finish higher than 4 at this point.

Led by Todd McKown, WSU goes 1-2-4-7-8 in the 60 hurdles.

Through 11 events scored, WSU leads by 30.5 over SIU.

Now its time to hang on and get a point or 2 where and when we can.

Ok, decent results in the 800 and the 200. Shocks still lead by 26 points with 4 events to be scored.

5k - we have a couple of chances to score points, but not a lot.

4X400 - not a strong event but at least you can't get boatraced by 5 teams from UNI.

Triple Jump - should be a strong event, finishing up now.

Shot Put - we won't score.

          Can the Shocks hang on?

Lol.....Salukis threw a bunch of rabbits at the field to protect their front runner.....he held on to win and the WSU runner finished 3rd. Has to be considered a good finish for WSU.

Not sure....but I think we're solid in the last event to be scored...the triple jump....

I think we're looking at the VALLEY CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With 2 event remaining, WSU leads UNI and SIU by 16 points.

I am pretty sure WSU won the 4X400...that would just leave the Triple Jump to be scored.

In typical Division III standing, UNI turns off the video before everything is final or the awards ceremony.

I'm so sick of this penny anti conference it's not funny.

I cannot tell you how good that 4X400 was.....flippin fantastic.

Shocks lead by 18 with only the Triple jump left to be scored.

Unfortunately, the Panthers ran out of money and shut off the power to the cameras so I am relying on their website to update the final score.

Josh Crawford over 50' in the triple jump....a huge effort. Shocks take the Valley title by a DECISIVE 28 points.

What a great effort by the Shocker Men. Picked to finish 4th they seriously outperformed winning by a rather solid 28 point margin.

Congrats to Coach Rainbolt, his staff and especially the Shocker Track and Field Athletes from sweeping the Men's and Women's indoor MVC Championships.

                            :good: :goshocks:

                              What a great result.

Dr. Wu - how were you following it so closely?

                              Were you there?

I appreciate all of the updates.

I became a member of the Panther Golden Donor Club by spending the $7.95 for the live video. I am a sucker for track and field. It was a terrible feed, with no audio except background chatter from the film crew and no stats or scoring updates. Very weak. I was just trying to follow the heat sheets in regards to the bib numbers and the MVC site had some good "best of" times that gave me some ideas of what to expect. I usually get to chat with Bolt once or twice a season and he gives me some updates on where we can steal some points, so I try to pay attention. I update an excel spreadsheet for the multis.....yeah I'm a geek more often than not.

I hope the YouTube Shocker channel gets a tape of the 4X400...it was an AWESOME finish and you can see all the coaches and teammates going crazy as we won. Lots of fun, to me at least.
