ILS and SIU probably felt pretty good about their 8-over scores in the afternoon until they looked up at the Shocks score and realized the dropped behind by another 15 strokes. Has to be be a little demoralizing. OTOH, they probably figure they have nothing to lose at this point and can come out tomorrow and let if fly.

Because they only play 18 holes today and there are no weather issues everyone will be teeing off from #1 today.

The top 3 teams, WSU, ILS and SIU will be paired up in the final five threesomes and those five groups will start teeing off at 10:10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 this morning.

      :poster_shocks:

Edit: Although the schedule of tee times shows everyone starting on #1 the early scorecards indicate that some of the early tee groups (1st five?) started on #10. Not that it makes a lot of difference.

After 6 holes the Shocks are +1 with Hunter Sparks' score of +2 the current throw away. They continue to lead ILS by 24 strokes.

Louis Cohen Boyer is -1 on the day and currently has a 3 shot lead in the medalist race at -3.

The hottest golfer on the course is Quinn Vineff of Evansville who is -6 over his first 9 holes and is now even par for the tournament and tied for 3rd in the medalist race.

His card: Eagle (a 2 on the 421 yard 1st), par, par, birdie, par, par, Eagle (par 5), par, birdie. That's a good front side.

You know it's your day when you start out with an Eagle on a 421 yard par 4. That would get anyone's engine going.

Calvin Pearson picked up a double-bogey as well on #10. That probably knocks Calvin out of contention for medalist honors.

Rafael Becker currently leads the medalist race at -4 followed by Louis Cohen Boyer at -3.

Shocks still up by 24 over ILS and by 34 over SIU.

Double bogey by Louis on #10 puts Rafael in control of the medalist race as he is up 4 strokes over Louis with 6 holes to play. Rafael currently -5 for the tournament.

UNI had a 17 stroke lead going into today. CU finishes +2 over UNI. 17 stokes over 18 holes. Ouch.

WSU has a 30 stroke lead with 3, 3, 3, and 6 left to score.

Tyler Gann ends his day with a double bogey, eagle. He finishes today with a +6 and a +12 for the tourney.

Has there been a better year for WSU athletics? Final Four, Sweet 16 in volleyball. Women's NCAA bid, both tennis teams with a bid, men's golf.
