Well how about 5 turnovers on the road? I liked our bigs tonight, especially JT and "we got you Gabe." I am not sure why we got outrebounded, but hey hey hey--we are undefeated on the Valley road so far which has never ever happened in Shocker history. 5-0--hey hey hey. We will take it. JT, Gabe, DK, and Toure' were tough. Hooooray for Toure' and his 1000 points. Whew--that is alot of points in 3 Seasons. 74-64--a nice road win. KCSHOX was describing a dichotomy of how bad we looked in the 1st half versus good thangs in the 2nd half. As Dickens proclaimed--"It was the best of times--it was the worst of times? " Yikes!!!!!!!

It's a good thing he had to get back to the bench to coach because I think he was starting to get emotional with the half-time reporter on our first half effort. Gregg's never shy about sharing his feelings.

What's wrong with Hatch and free throws.

this is an excellent question. Those two at the end were brutal. The , one clanked way of the back, and the second barely made it to the rim. He's got some serious mental issues going on there.

Another question, why was he in at the end guarding a guy 4 inches taller and is probably the only guy that could win it for SIU. He didn't, but could have.

Probably b/c Gabe and Durley had too many fouls.

Aaron was available. Hard to argue that you go with Hatch for the offenvsive fire-power. Bottom line is that 3G greatly shortened his bench in the 2nd half was was sticking with what was working.

Not many defensive boards available. SIU didn't miss many shots in the 1st half and didn't get many shots in the 2nd half. Then there was the one possession where SIU got 3 or 4 offensive boards.

Very few minutes for Demitric tonight. You just don't know from game to game who is going to show up.

JT, Gabe and Toure were quite the 3-headed monster tonight, especially in the 2nd half.

Combined they were 18-24 from the field, 12-15 from the line (with Toure only 1-3), 48 points, 14 rebounds and 5 steals.

In the second half JT, Gabe and Toure outscored the Salukis 31-24.

I'm with you 1972. However, from this moment forward, unless the ball just bounces funky, we need to, could, and should win every solitary rebound total battle left in the Valley. This expectation can be blinked at though, but only if we win all total point battles which is where the rubber meets the road. Cases in point are the laast 2 wins on the scoreboard but yet we got outrebounded. I can live with that.

The turn around from late in the first half to the end of the game was huge. A Shocker surpass was NOT to be denied.

The team was playing well. Apparently 3G didn't want to upset the apple cart even if Graham was not putting up great stats.

Hatch had some good moments tonight with his defense. He didn't make any bonehead plays on offense that I can remember although his free throw shooting is horrendous. On the flip side, ben Smith did nothing tonight, which was less than GH.

When I heard about the rebounding differential, I thought of that 1 possession.

The mismatch might have worked in our favor too. There's a lot more of Fay than there is of Hatch, and refs do like to call fouls on big guys...
