If we don't win the valley, it'll be another day on shockernet with a ***** and moan fest.
Great another sunshine pumper, when this team wins the Valley monkeys will fly out of my butt!
Not a good visual either. :D

I have to agree about the NORTHERN FREAKING IOWA comment.

We have a losing record against UNI!!!!!

I remember sitting in St. Louis during the MVC tourney sometime in 2004 or 05 and watching our $500,000 coach lose to their $150,000 coach and wondering what in the hell was happening.

10,000 fans, jet charters to away games, $1 million coach, and fans that travel well are all fine and good. But QUITE LOSING TO UNI AND WIN SOME FREAKING MVC CHAMPIONSHIPS!

So, who is happy with just sneaking into the NCAA Tournament by winning the MVC Tournament? Silly me, I thought we wanted to do better than that. I thought we wanted to fight for a very nice seeding in the NCAA's, not just slide in on the auto-bid and celebrate that 12-seed. I thought we wanted a Top 20 team, not the equivalent of the MEAC tournament champion.

Disagree and debate all you want, everyone, just leave the personal junk out of it. If someone is an optimist, even an unrealistic one, LET THEM BE ONE! If someone is a pessimist, even an unrealistic one, LET THEM BE ONE! Believe it or not, it is possible to have sharp disagreement debates without wallowing into namecalling. If we're going to expect our team to perform to a higher standard, than maybe we can hold our decorum here to a higher standard. Argue on facts, not personalities.

I was wondering the exact same thing. GM made an error in the change. All UNI had to do against the man to man was spread the floor, let Alehegbe drive and either pass to the corner when help came, get fouled, or finish. We couldn't stop it and I beleive they made at least 4 threes from the corner in the second half alone off of his drives. Our adjustments sucked!

ISASO I am certainly with you. There is a lot of season left and hopefully this team can find its mojo.

At times this team has looked like one that could do major damage in the dance. I want to see that team again!

                    And the point is what?

UNI made the Sweet 16, remember?

Clearly UNI has had markedly more success than WSU under almost any way you want measure it.

                    Two-time defending MVC champ, remember?

UNI certainly has had more success. I would like WSU to make the sweet sixteen or better. At times this team has looked like it is capable of doing that.

I just want to see that team again. Although I have to give UNI and their coach credit. I don't think WSU played that badly last night, UNI just looked like the team that beat KU last year again.

I think Jacobsen is a great coach and he manages to mold his team into a unit and come up with a winning game plan that his team can execute.

Now I can't explain how UNI lost to Indiana State 70-45 earlier this month.

I was agast this morning when a fellow WSU fan at work this morning posed the following question of which is better

                        a) Going to the NCAA and playing one game and losing

                        b) Going to the NIT, CBI etc and possibly playing several games and winning a CBI or NIT championship.

In my mind you want to get to the NCAA's but evidently there are some WSU fans who are satisified with mediocrity and mid-major mentality.

This should NOT be an NIT team. They play like they're ok with that sometimes, but an NIT is not acceptable.

They'd better figure it out and figure it out quickly.
