I don't like the trend.

Agreed...While I knew the Bears were going to be tough, there were a lot of things that just didn't go our way last night.

Missed free throws
Missed lay ups
Missed 3 pointers
Missed defensive rebounds
Untimely turnovers
Poor shot selection or play execution.
Poor situational player selection.

Seemed like every time we were in a position to cut into the lead one of the above reared its ugly head.

The Bears played very well and frankly took us out of our game. But it seems this team is not quite ready for the spotlight and folded a bit under the pressure.

While I am extremely happy that we won and ended the streak in Omaha, it was hardly a great "opportunity" game in the national scope. Yes, it was almost a must-win for a conference championship, but with Creighton's RPI of 114 it doesn't do much for an at-large.

This team could end up 24-4 and 16-2 (minus BB and STL) and with no good wins and no bad losses. Amazing.

Three missed oppurtunities because of fumbleitis late in the game(s) vs UConn, SDSU and Mizzou St. These guys have to step up (with handling the basketball) in their next big test. Starting Ragland is a good step in that direction.

I can handle losing these games on the road. But now we are losing them at home. Our 2 biggest tests in the Valley this year where we have a chance to asert ourselves at the top of the league and we fail. Again.

This pretty much sums it up, I can't honestly remember a top 100 win in recent memory under Marshall. I'm all ears.

What I would really like to understand is how teams can use ball screens so effectively on us but the best we can hope for is a sometimes barely open three?

We have no offense. All we try to do is force it into the paint. When that isn't there, we just run around outside the arc for 30 seconds then have to force something up. I've seen times where JT and Hatch just play catch for about 10 seconds trying to get something to open up while everyone else just stands around watching.
Want to see a good offense? Watch KU. Watch Texas. Watch them move and set screens and move the ball around like it's filled with boiling water.

Want to see a bad offense? Watch us and K-State.

And don't give me the old "they have better athletes than us" lines. We have the athletes, they just don't do anything.
