Our Shockers are playing so well right now that I don't see us losing this and I keep thinking about MSU on Sunday. This has all the makings of a trap game.

Carnichael keeps it close. He is a really nice player. I do expect us to win the opener ofwhat is effectively a doubl headern...let's play two!

I grow more confident in this team with every game, but the road is still a bit of an unknown. Surely there's some reason to be optimistic, but at this point I'm still very skeptical that we'll be beating many teams on the road by double digits--especially one that will be as hungry for a win as Ill. State at this point.

          Shox -- 74
          Ill. State -- 66

We need to take care of business.

I don't post score predictions, but I see this being a tough game for us. ISU is too talented to keep going 0-fer, especially at home. I think they win a close game.

The 'Birds are struggling but they have some young talent. A couple of guys I know we were recruiting and pretty high on. Carmichael is the real deal. We'll be too much for them but it'll stay fairly respectable I think

I think this game is closer than most think. Ill St leads by 1 at the half. In the 2nd half WSU will wear them down and finally take the lead for good.

Don't disagree with your analysis, but I'm hoping we can quit using the "our depth will wear them down in the 2nd half" routine for potential play-in teams. This advantage should be what separates us from the top teams in the Valley, not the bottom, even if it is a road game. The Birds, at home, lost to CU 64-53, so I'll go with WSU 73-59.

This is true, but Ill. State is 0-3, they're at home (as you stated) AND we're a very unproven team on the road. I agree, it'd be nice if we could beat them convincingly from the get go, but I just don't think we're there yet.

If we want to keep pace with Mo St's impressive start...road wins at N Iowa and Crieghton (wow)...we have to win at Ill St....we may lose some road games...but NOT against the 0&3 Redbirds in order to take the drivers' seat from Mo St...I say the spread will be around 8 or 9 points and that's where we land...Shocks win 78 to 69

Ill State has NEVER lost back-to back home games under Jankovich....I see the Shox looking ahead to Sunday game and losing here 69-67...

This Shoxzer squad don't appear to mind being the first to do a few things:

Maybe they will help Jankovich enjoy his first back-to-back home loss?
