I thought I had finally got a grip on my anger for the way my front row, corner seats were taken from me.

Except for two years, I have been a season ticket holder, since 1963.

With the discussion above, I am starting to lose it again.

I "know" someone who has seats in row 3 around mid-court at Koch.

At IBA, his tickets were placed at around row 15. People who would normally sit 10 rows behind him at Koch were seated 10 rows in front of him at IBA.

Something ****ed up, and someone needs to finally admit it. This is a joke.

Question: Would you rather sit in great seats at Kock, to watch Alcorn State, or sit in less-than-ideal seats at Intrust to watch Tulsa, or maybe UNLV or some other more worthy opponent?

Tulsa would have been in Wichita regardless of IBA or not. 4 year deal. So when is UNLV coming?

Aargh - To answer your question, there's $100 SASO fee per seat in rows 29-30.

I'm calling BS. Very few if any on here are saying no more games at IBA...rather let's get the seating issues addressed to make it better going forward for loyal season ticket holders.

Here's another ticketing thought - handle it like they have for potential NIT games. Send out notices that you can reserve your assigned seat up until a certain date, after which all unpurchased seats are up for grabs. That isn't a new paradigm for WSU ticketing, but might be for IBA. When I let my seats go and took my chances on the Florida State NIT game, I struck gold and sat in about the 12th row at about the north free throw line. For another NIT game I ended up way up top. But it is a chance I'd be willing to take on an IBA game.

BTW, I sat in section 107 for last night's Thunder 0-2 snoozer loss, and it felt like being in a different dimension being in the lower deck, even in the corner.

I'm beginning to understand why other schools do not include off-site games in their season ticket offering. I'm starting to think they should not include it, and allow season ticket holders a 5 day advantage in purchasing tickets (first come-first serve, with no priority consideration).

Instead of including a "fake" ticket in the packet for the game, they could include a "early-purchase voucher". You take that in (or use the number on it) to purchase your tickets in advance.

The system above would be logistically easy to pull off, unlike any other alternative I can think of. I am sure we can get a ton of proposals on how to do it differently than they did, but everything else other than "fend-for-yourself" (that I can think of) sounds like a logistic and/or PR nightmare.

The exact same problem still exists in that scenario: exactly what seat are you reserving? There isn't even close to a 1:1 mapping of Koch to Intrust seats.

One of the things that bugs me, that I haven't seen mentioned very much, is the fact that there were so many empty seats in the lower bowl. From my view (218 row P) there appeared to be half full rows directly below the suites. Why weren't those full?

One thing I think is happening here is that some of you folks may have good seats at Koch, but have fewer points than folks who sit behind you.
That resulted in worse seats at IBA.

I know there are many folks who sit lower than me at Koch who have fewer points, mostly because I was on vacation when they re-aligned the seating in Koch and when I got back I had to take what I could get. Every year I've given more than the minimum for my seats. I've been able to move down to row 23 near midcourt due to attriiton.

My seats at IBA were row 16 in the corner.

That doesn't explain how someone like me ended up in better seats than Doc. I give only what's required of me and have for 3 years. I sit in row 24 on one end. How did I end up about 15 rows closer while Doc got moved back nearly 20? Something was definitely screwy.

Some of what you said may infact have something to do with some of it. But I had no business being in the lower bowl and definitely not in row 10.

I have two sets of season tickets. A set of three about 3/4 a way up in 126 and another set of two 8 rows behind the shocker bench.

The close seats were only about 4 rows farther back at Intrust arena. The others were way up in the nosebleeds. I was surprised at the big difference between the two.

Not one fricken peep out of us way out there folk who couldn't see the game on Shockervision. It was a great game just to listen to. No complaint here. The Shocks need to play a game there and I'm happy to sacrifice for their benefit. I realize a few bucks for Shockernet isn't a thing compared to the support many of you give to see our team. But I'm tired of the bellyaching. No more of this and the other similar threads for me.

During the first half there were numerous empty seats in section 118; however they were filled the second half. Either late arrivals or seat vultures from the upper deck (Bob Uecker section)? Unlike Eck Stadium, there didn’t appear to be any seat Nazis present… hey, that’s another IBA positive. :D
