I keep seeing that people are saying that not all season ticket holders could not have been seated in the lower level. How many seats are in the lower level? Does anyone know for sure? It would seem to me that there are more seats in the lower than the upper since the genius design only has 3 sides on the upper.

Boston, I have to question your posting based on the fact that you said your coworker got $15 tickets through IBA's box office. That was impossible, so it further complicates the credibility of your remaining post.
And ShockMe, the upper level seats approx. 8000, the lower level approx. 6000, with the suites accounting for the remaining 1000 or so.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Actually, I think pinstripers meant "Where were you sitting?".

Before felow coworker called the box office he went online and I saw with my own eyes the tickets were marked down to $15 face value just hours before tipoff. I said to him this looks just like the Bon Jovi concert when they marked tickets down to $15 the afternoon of the show. Now he did say that after he paid the transaction fees they averaged closer to $30 ticket. I'll check with him tomorrow on the exact details. I bet he still has records available. And if I find my memory failed me I'll say I was wrong. If he has records validating my story I would like to post the details.

I did buy tickets on-line after 4:30 pm the day of the game and I had to pay $26 for tickets located a few rows from the top behind the basket. I couldn't find anything for less than $26 each. With the service fees they cost $30 each.

I wonder exactly how many seats are available in the lower bowl, how many were made available to WSU, how many of those went to students (they weren't free were they?)
I wonder how they figure the total points and what is the range of season ticket holders totals?
Our total contributions is in the low to mid 5 figures per, and our current season tickets have been ours for 20 years (although I have had tickets for at least 35 years in my family). I went from row 7 to the top row in the lower bowl. I was hot before the game, not so much after the game.
The numbers just don't add up....we're trying to put a square peg in a round hole and it doesn't work. Most fans, at least half, of the season ticket holders are going to be upstairs. If you don't want to watch up there, hey, I totally understand, and you should be given an option to opt out of that game next time around.
But the numbers in the pole say people WANT to see a game or 2 every year to the tune of at least 4 to 1 in favor of.....and our coach wants it. It is going to happen.

However, I do feel the SASO donors have earned/paid for the WSU athletic dept. to be totally open and clear with them as to the number of seats being made available to them in the lower bowl. Are seats in the upper center a higher priorty than lower end, so on and so forth.

The sad thing is that if everyone would have known exactly where their seats were, some would have stayed home and supported the Shox on the hated CH22. No way you sell 14,000 in that situation. Season tickets or not, I cannot imagine a scenario in which I pay money to watch a basketball game from 212 row K, ever again.

I tend to agree with you pin, and there in lies the "problem" if there is one.
I have to be in the top 2% of passionate WSU fans and I would struggle with a ticket in the upper bowl for most games. I don't think I would go. If it was a big game, I'd go. Tulsa is borderline....maybe below borderline, for me at least.
It seems to me that the arena was built ostensibly as a 7500 seat arena, and for that it is really good. With a huge demand event, they open the top for maximum profit. We all have our own Mendoza line, the point at which we say enough, and it's going to vary widely from person to person.
My guess is schedule a game against Alcorn State and there is not going to be much interest. Get a Louisville, and you'll be standing in line for the upper bowl.

There's no way in HELL my seat should have been better than Docs. But apparently it was. Something was definitely screwed upInfinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

OK I'm here to fess up and set the record straight. My coworker said the $15 seats that we both saw on his computer screen just hours before the game were available on some obscure ticket broker website that only appeared to offer postal delivery. In fact he said there were exactly 4 seats listed with this broker. Since postal delivery was not an option he called down to IBA box office and ended up with $26 tickets in section 224 row P.
Now my main beef remains unchanged. The fact is myself and family members have 6 adjacent seats in section 103 rows 29-30. 4 of the 6 seats were relegatedto the last row in sections 213 & 218. Knowing a coworker was able to get better seats just hours before tipoff on top of splitting all of my seats apart to sit in the very top row in 2 different sections doesn't leave me real satisfied.

The priority points system is probably harder to understand than the Missouri Valley's tie-breaker rules for seedings in St. Louis. I know it's tied to SASO amounts and that seems to be a cumulative number associated with the season ticket holder.
Is there a SASO requirement for season tickets in rows 29 - 30 in CKA? I know some parts of CKA don't require a SASO contribution. If there's no SASO amount associated with the seson ticket holder, then there are approximately 0 priority points associated with that season ticket holder.
I wasn't thrilled with getting moved from center court to a corner section, but at least I had a 10th row seat in the lower bowl. Maybe part of that is because I'm in the 110% club and once I found out what that amount is, I donated that AGAIN. I guess I'm a member of the 220% club.
Actually I doubled my donation by mistake when I clicked on somethng I thought was a confirmation of my total donation. The ticket office called me and I told them that was what I intended to do.
I know that giving extra money to SASO moves you higher in the priority points. I'm trying to get an upgrade from my Row 25 seats in CKA and I'm starting to pay now so that in a few years the lump sum won't still be a ginormous number. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
