  • Parrish's Top 25 and 1

Good publicity, Parrish has always been pretty complimentary of the Shockers.

The comment section is sort of interesting. Someone doesn't think Wichita State should be there because our best win is Nicholls State (I'd say they definitely have a point.)

I really like this gem though, "does that mean UCONN is that "Good" since we have nothing else to go by? Shouldn't they drop down in the rankings as well since the other 8 games they have played were the likes of "Stoney Brook, Vermont, New Hamp, Wichita ST. UMBC, Fair Dickinson, Coppin ST. and Harvard?"

Many are probably considering Virginia as our best win. But our strong suite is no bad losses which came only to top 10 teams on the road or at a neutral site. And during most of the minutes in both games, we looked great.

Currently we are hanging close enough to the top 25 to get an at-large bid. We just need not to blow it with too many bad losses and win the bracketbuster. The bracketbuster will not be against a sexy opponent but good enough to help.

It will also help a little if USDS and UCON maintain their great seasons. UCON is the question IMO. Since Maui, just home wins against so-so teams. And of course relying on one player is always a risk. But even if both of these teams fall apart, I believe WSU chances of an at-large bid is in their own hands.

I believe michigan state can and should be mentioned as well with only one good win and four 'good' losses.

Noticed there were only 2 teams from the Sunflower state in those rankings. Parrish definitely offers a fresh perspective.

I would sure like to watch that Missouri State game on Wednesday night. That should be a good one.

UConn went down in flames tonight to Pitt. Pitt has a balanced team, rebounds well, and Kemba Walker's 31 points was not enough for UConn tonight.

Note to Jim Calhoun: Next time go on a true road game with a good team before taking on Pitt at home.

According to the MVC media guide, the Missouri St-UNI game will be broadcast on MVC-TV: Fox Sports Midwest, Fox Sports KC, Fox Sports Indiana and Comcast Chicago.

If you can get any of those networks you should be able to see the game. It looks like the game starts at 7:05 pm Central Time.

The Shocker game that night is not on TV at all (maybe our only remaining game not on TV).

I sense that Capitol Shock is an out of towner. Since he can't get the Shocker game on TV, he could possibly watch UNI-MOST if he has a dish or can otherwise pick up one of the networks carrying MVC games.

Of course he or anyone else might be able to DVR or record the UNI-MOST game while they go to the Shocker game or watch it on Shockervision.

No reason not to try and watch both games. The UNI-MOST game is a very important game.
