Tech wise I would love to see some mobile friendly live stats and quick replays.
At the concession stands I would love to see NSF for quicker payments.
Speaking of NSF, the tickets could use a similar upgrade. I shouldn't have to deal with those stupid pieces of paper. I should just have a card that I can get scanned (not swiped) and get in. If I sell my ticket at the marketplace, it comes off my card.
I would love to see some kind of clock or something out in the concourse so I know how much time I have left.
The radio crew needs some serious tech upgrades, my god. It cracks me up at how many times they think they go to commercial but don't. Often they don't know who is on the line. How many times do they forget to kill the ABC news auto run at the top and bottom of each hour? Also why the hell don't they have a strong FM transmitter in each arena?
Thankfully the crew behind shockerradio.com does a great job of getting me an open live feed for half time and post game whilst on the road.
Now if you really want to step into the future, CKA would have an augmented reality app for your mobile device (phone or tablet). Imagine holding up your phone or tablet and seeing the game through the device's camera. However you get some TV like overlays. But even better, if you click on a player it shows you everything you would get in a program. It would also show the stats from the game. It would have instant replays so at any point I could pause the game and then play it back. It would also be tied to a 3D camera system so I could look back on a play, swing the camera around and see it again from another angle and even zoom in. I could make a quick replay clip of a good EO dunk and put it on Facebook.
Maybe less futuristic would be some more social connections @ CKA. They should encourage check-ins with Facebook and even that Foursquare thing. I'd love to see some informative tweets coming out of CKA.
That leads me to the one thing I really, really want.
More information. I should know before I go to a game who is doing the half time show (if there is one). I should know if this is the game that the baseball players will be signing autographs. I should know when the basketball players are signing autographs. I should know more about the SASO room. Seriously, I have no idea what that is about. You could keep everything the same and just give me more information and I would be a happy camper.
