Baby arrived Thrusday, mom and baby are fine. We should be released from the hospital today....and to top it off, my wife is actually insisting I go watch the game somewhere (we have at&t) rather than listen on the radio. I guess she's had enough of my the last 3 days. :D

For the Kansas City fans, I don't believe the game will be on channel 222, even though the KC Star has it in their listings. It is not on the Metro Sports tv listings, except for the replay on Sunday evening. I e-mailed them yesterday and they said that Missouri will be on MS and they are committed to the Hy-Vee Shootout on MS2. Does anyone know of an online site?

First off, the crew doing the shooting is Metro Sports. The cost of HD equipment for Metro Sports would be insane. When Fox Sports does games at CKA they still send their SD equipment and crew due to cost.

The Metrosports SD feed is no better or worse then any other SD feed.

Now, if you take that 480i feed and put it through your cable box that scales it up and then your TV stretches it out, yes, it will look like crap. But that is on you.

Learn to tweak your box to let your TV handle the upscaling and for the love of GOD don't stretch the 4:3

It will never look like HD but it will look like TV looked like for years.

Between now and HD goodness from Metro Sports, just be happy the games are on any kind of TV.

Basketball programs, like "model mid-majors", like Wichita St, Gonzaga, Butler, are built on consistency and development--good recruits that stay in a program and develop into Jrs and Seniors who understand a system, play together for a while and have good team chemistry. Success doesn't typically happen "overnight" and the Kentucky/Calipari situation is few and far between. Even schools like the mighty UCLA, UNC, Kansas, UConn will struggle with the turnover of one and done players.
