You're close. Actually, he has us a 10 playing #7 WVA.

Yes, we were a #7 in his Nov bracketology.

We lose two games to #2 and #4 seeds and drop to ten.

Not that it matters at this point.

Please add also, if your conference opponents are not doing well in the non-conference, you must not be a very good team either.

That is true, but no matter how good you are and how well you play a weak conference will hurt your RPI and perhaps impact at-large and seeding decisions.

A 10 seed is very generous at this point. I would take that in a heartbeat!

Of course, as mentioned, this means nothing, given the current date.

Lunardi made a boo-boo too. He has Washington, DC listed for hosting 3 pods. Tulsa only is hosting one. I assume with Kitten State as a No.2 seed, that our pod would be in Tulsa.

Yeah we definitely need to win the valley tourney to get in. No doubt.

It's still really early and this is just some guy predicting things in the middle of December but Lunardi is usually fairly accurate. I often question whether he's accurate because he's on ESPN and it's a self fulfilling prophecy scenario, but he's accurate either way.

At the moment though, I'll take this as an encouraging sign that we are still apparently in control of our own destiny whether it be an at large bid or the more likely auto bid (more likely because I'd be surprised if we don't win the MVC tournament).

So let's run up a winning streak, see how long we can ride this thing without a shocking loss to Evansville or Smallville, and enjoy the ride.

He's usually right at the end of the year because he basically only has to pick 4 teams to get in, the others are automatic or locked at-larges. So when he says he gets 62 or 63 out of 64 right every year, he's basically 50% right.

I think it's also pretty common knowledge that he gets inside info. I've heard that multiple times, and I think he makes last minute switches every year.

As far as I know, the most accurate source on being in/out is the "DanceCard." I'm not sure when they start formulating the teams (probably not until late in the year), but last year the DanceCard only missed 1 spot. http://www.unf.edu/~jcoleman/dance.htm

A 10-seed is solid into at-large territory (All top 12 seeds and one or two 13s are "at-large"). All he's saying is there aren't any other Valley teams worthy of an at-large bid right now
