  • Durley vs. Marcus Morris

It is a slow day on here heres something fun to talk about.

I think Durley and Mc. Morris are fairly similar actually. Morris is stronger and quicker off his feet than JT but JT is probably a tad bit better from three than him. It would be a good, make that GREAT, matchup to watch though if we actually played they might put Ellis on Mc. Morris.

    Any thoughts?

I like Durley, but Morris is a 1st round pick in the draft next year and is on the Naismith Award watch list. They play a similar style, but that's where the comparison ends.

As soon as I post this, Morris hits a three.

I would not like to watch Durley trying to play D against Morris. That would be unpleasant.

How good would Durley be if he played with energy and urgency even 90% of the time? That's what sets Marcus light years apart. I agree though, when JT plays with that upbeat energy and passion, he possess the same type of game to that of Marcus.

Watching the KU game tonight I had the thought, "I would really like a shot at these guys this year."

My thought is that the topic doesn't matter because Morris' coach wishes to ignore WSU. When he must acknowledge the existence of a D1 basketball program he states there is nothing to gain.
Oh well I'm rooting for Durley. Morris is on my radar because I will watch college basketball on TV.
But that remark begs the question, why doesn't WSU get local. TV coverage while KU does? And why are all these schmucks who have never stepped foot on a college campus able to buy KU or ' state at every convenience or dept store in Wichita but not WSU?
I know the answer I just don't like it.

Really? Really? I would NOT like to see the end result of that game, sorry, particularly when Selby joins them.

Seriously? Yes, Selby might make them better or he could make them worse? Do you honestly believe KU would route us on a neutral court? Who knows in Lawrence? They sure didn’t route a non-ranked UCLA team last night. We’d give ‘em a damn good game at Koch (of course we’ll never find out). Yes, they have a stable full of McDonald’s All Americans and they’ll add another soon; however just visit with Kentucky, UCONN, Michigan State, Oklahoma and Virginia fans and then get back with me. I’m not saying we’re a top 20 team (yet), however we’re not ‘chump change’ either. Have some faith in your team… you’re starting to sound like KCShox. :D

P.S. Oh, I would probably take Mc. Morris over JT.

KU just got a home-cooked, one point win over a UCLA team who:

-Beat powerhouse Pacific at home by 7
-Laid it on nationally respected Pepperdine at home by 10
-Lost to Virginia Commonwealth in a game where they turned the ball over 21 times.

It's a name on a jersey with a number in front of it. Do some research and you might be surprised at just how wrong you are.
