Really? Really? I would NOT like to see the end result of that game, sorry, particularly when Selby joins them.
Seriously? Yes, Selby might make them better or he could make them worse? Do you honestly believe KU would route us on a neutral court? Who knows in Lawrence? They sure didn’t route a non-ranked UCLA team last night. We’d give ‘em a damn good game at Koch (of course we’ll never find out). Yes, they have a stable full of McDonald’s All Americans and they’ll add another soon; however just visit with Kentucky, UCONN, Michigan State, Oklahoma and Virginia fans and then get back with me. I’m not saying we’re a top 20 team (yet), however we’re not ‘chump change’ either. Have some faith in your team… you’re starting to sound like KCShox. :D

P.S. Oh, I would probably take Mc. Morris over JT.
Please do not compare me with KCShox. :) I have nothing against KC, he is just really, really negative most of the time. However, he does at times lend some reality to the situation where many of our posters take the high road and think the Shocks can do anything. I do have faith in the Shocks. They are a good team, but IMO are not a great team -- yet!

Do I think we can beat KU this year? Well, let's see how we do against SDSU first, but right now I would say no. KU did not play particularly well against UCLA last night and they are a better free throw shooting team than that game showed. I would be very happy to be proven wrong on this.

KU just got a home-cooked, one point win over a UCLA team who:

-Beat powerhouse Pacific at home by 7
-Laid it on nationally respected Pepperdine at home by 10
-Lost to Virginia Commonwealth in a game where they turned the ball over 21 times.

It's a name on a jersey with a number in front of it. Do some research and you might be surprised at just how wrong you are.

Well, I think I will wait until after KU's game next Tuesday with Memphis before starting your suggested research. If KU can't get by Memphis, then you may be right (however, any team can lose one game). BUT, if KU gets by Memphis, I don't think I will be doing any research.

You guys are trying to make me sound like a KU troll and believe me I am not. I cheer for the Shocks, KU and KSU, in that order. The Shocks above all though.

Granted it is early in the year but after 7 games Marcus is shooting 60% from 3.

I wasn't saying I think the Shockers would win the majority of the time, but I think we could pull off the upset on any given night.

Last night would have been a pretty good night to have tried. Poor shooting, poor shot selection, terrible time management, crap free throws. I mean up decent with 2 minutes left you you take a crap shot with 20 seconds on the shot clock. It was like they were trying to blow it the last 2-3 minutes.

Not sure if Joshua Smith is really a beast or if KU just didn't play any defense but he pretty much had his way with them.

Tyshawn Taylor and Tyrel Reed paying their heads off were the only thing that kept KU in the game. It could have been UCLA up big at the end and some foul wouldn't have mattered at all.

I think Durley and Mc. Morris are fairly similar actually. Morris is stronger and quicker off his feet than JT but JT is probably a tad bit better from three than him. It would be a good, make that GREAT, matchup to watch though if we actually played they might put Ellis on Mc. Morris.

              Any thoughts?
Durley is clearly the better player, duh.

When you come on here to defend KU, you gotta do better than the lame, repetitive sarcastic shtick.

I'd probably compare JT more to Markieff Morris than Marcus.

Here are some comparison stats for this year:

                          JT: 12.5ppg, 2.7rpg, shooting 35% from 3 and 47% overall.

                          Markieff Morris: 12ppg, 9rpg, 33% from 3 and 51.8% overall.

                          Marcus Morris: 18.6ppg, 6.3rpg, 60% from 3 and 64% overall.

If JT could up his rebounding, he'd be nearly exactly like Markieff. Nowhere close to Marcus, however, neither of them. At least not in my opinion.
If WSU ever played KU, Marcus would probably be matched up against Ellis or Blair, with JT going against Markieff. I don't think JT could handle Marcus, to be quite honest, but he'd give it 110% if he was. But, maybe he could foul both of them out. Doesn't seem to be that hard.

Durley isn't like either of the Morris guys in style of play other than they all shoot the 3 pretty well. Durley has rediculous moves. The Morris twins are much more athletic. No matter how you slice it, KU has a very good front court and so do the Shocks (and the SDSU Aztecs for that matter).

Here's to JT, Aaron, Gabe, Garrett, and EO going against one of the best front courts in the nation tonight and showing that WE are in the discussion for dominance in the paint! :yahoo:

JT is comparable to both really, small sample size withstanding, however it important to understand what a douche fever is at all times.
