So is PlaneShocker DOFO or is PlaneShocker DOFO's brother? :noidea:

This is one of the better examples of your negatie Nancy, weird-as-schmidt perspective on all things relating to Shocker athletics.

You've given us tons of them over the years, but this one is up there.
I'll be sure to remember this post and spoon feed this to you old man when the time comes.

Northern Iowa entered the Top 25 as #20 last year during Week 11 (Jan 17 [ESPN says Jan 24, but I think that's when the week ended]) They were carrying a 15-game win streak with wins over Boston College, Iowa State, and Siena. They were 16-1 and had a loss to DePaul.

If I recall correctly, we didn't crack the top-25 in our S16 year until after the NCAA tournament.

That said, I give us a slight chance if we beat SDSU, considering they are ranked currently.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Correct. We never put ourselves in a position to be ranked that season. At the beginning of January we were 10-2 with a win over Bradley as our highlight win. Our next shot would've been when we were 16-4. Our record never got much better than that. If we are 10-1 in January with a win over SDSU, I think we'll be knocking on the door. Beat up on Evansville, Bradley, Drake a couple weeks in a row and we'll be in the top 25.

FSF prefers this. Let's not storm ahead like we are going to a fire. Let's stay under the radar and ease in the Big Dance.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
