  • Bob Lutz' Prediction

Bob Lutz predicted WSU in the Sweet 16. Does any body care?

What he doesn't hype is that he predicts WSU in the Elite 8 as well. There are several other picks there that make you doubt Bob has been taking his meds.

Yeah, at least it shows he's got a little homer in him. This team, this year, and next year will have the best chance to be another Sweet Sixteen team.

I just hope it plays out like it is predicted. Our Sweet Sixteen run in 05-06 was very exciting, I still remember watching the games on TV, especially when we put Tennessee away.

My brother has a dog that starts barking and getting excited everytime when WSU scores, and our whole family was whooping and hollaring at the end of the Tennessee game..... Great time.

The excitement is building - you can feel it in the air.

The talent is there for the run this year. What we need are the players's health and team chemistry. We got those in 05-06.

He's a genius!!! I love his prediction but it's about as useful as a weather forecast for 6 months from now. Methinks ole Bob has been partaking of the grape a bit much.

Can you imagine if little ole flyover Kansas had all three schools finish that high? Both coasts would implode and CBS would have a fit.

Yes, it would be highly entertaining. And then the NCAA Enforcement Office would take up residence in Kansas again, which would be really bad for two of the three participants in that Dance.

Yeah that would be bad for uk2 and the WheatShockers :)

It would be paramount that KU and Kitten State had brackets with teams not from the Valley or Horizon League in the first two rounds for this to have a chance to happen.
                Deuces Valley.
                ... No really, deuces.

No shame in losing to Butler - that was a great team.

Granted, KU would be easy pickings for them, as usual.
But, you really think the NCAA would be more interested in Marty Gross than in Delonte "$300K" Hill? That's right, you know they wouldn't. That's why you put the :)

                      Gotta agree with BCSCat here.

And man if all three teams made the Elite 8 schools should get shut down for the whole week leading up to those games.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

But if they all make the elite 8, then the games will be in the next two days on Saturday and Sunday.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

If you're a BCS institution, it is automatically assumed that you are superior to anything and everybody else. It's a given. The guy even has to wear it around on his moniker.

A Horizon League school seeded 5th beat a mighty Big 12 school seeded 2nd. Ouch.

Regardless of what any team has going into the Dance, it takes some good fortune to make the S16. The old "on any given night" thing always shows up, and getting a favorable (or unfavorable) bracket makes a huge difference.

KSU may be better than KU this year, but generally that's not true. The Valley's record against KU in the NCAA's is 2-1 in recent years.

What's KSU's record against KU the last 4 years?

KSU might be better than KU this year, but generally any of several Valley teams beat KU on a more regular basis than KSU does.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Lutz is putting the okie-doke on Wichita State. I'm thinking clean up in The Valley for the Shockers before I'm thinking sweet-sixteen or elite-eight. :-x
