  • Which Valley team will bag the first big win?

I say us over UConn and Michigan State but I'm biased.

And you would be right. Our game with UConn is a highly anticipated game not only for us, but around the conference.

If you are interested, follow ManthonyCourant on Twitter. He is the beat writer on the Huskies for the Hartford Courant. Good info on the Huskies before we play them this month.

It will be us, but it won't be against UCONN.

I can't imagine you'd be the one to think it's gonna be a better opponent than UCONN.

So if not UCONN, then who?
        Deuces Valley.
        ... No really, deuces.

11/17: Drake @ Iowa St. - I know, ISU expected to be a bottom feeder in their conference, but it is still the Big-XII.

11/19: Missouri St. @ Tulsa - granted TU had a disappointing opening season home loss to Appalacian St. (ouch), but they are still picked to finish in the top-5 in C-USA.

11/20: USC vs. Bradley @ Springfield, MA - with Taylor Brown on the sideline, it will be more challenging for Jim Les to win a significant noncon game, but the Valley needs this one. USC was banned from post-season play last year (thanks to Tim Floyd), but are expected to finish in the top-3rd of the Pac-10.

11/21: Evansville @ Indiana - the Hoosiers are a shell of themselves, but it's still Indiana & it's still a Big-10 foe on the road for E-ville.

11/21: Iowa St. vs. Creighton @ Des Moines - the Valley has to win vs. a BCS conference school here.

11/22: WSU vs. UConn @ Maui Classic - BOOK IT DANO!!!!

Previous to WSU vs. UConn, no Valley member squares off with anybody that exudes "big," however these games need to be won if the Valley expects to be the best non-BCS conference.

My guess is it will be San Diego State. They're supposed to be a MONSTER team this year, and beating them would be tremendous. I'd rather get the UConn win early though.

But I know for a fact KC wouldn't be picking WSU in that one. That's why I'm curious to know what team better than UCONN he thinks we'll beat that also will be considered the Valley's biggest.

Either he thinks Texas Southern will be a big win (I'm sure that's not the case) for us, or he believes we lose against UConn, beat Chaminade, then beat Kentucky, Washington, Virginia or Oklahoma I guess???

If MSU can beat Arkansas St on Tuesday in Knoxville, then they will likely get Tennessee in a true road game on Wednesday with a trip to MSG on the line. I'm not saying MSU would win that potential game, but it would be a nice opportunity for MSU and the league.

The MSU at Tulsa game on Friday will be MSUs third in four days.

How did u become an wsu/msu fan?

Don't get me wrong more power to ya but I don't recall coming across a fan of both. I do hope for continued success of msu because I like seeing schools like msu, isu red, wsu, cu, bu being the face if the valley as opposed to drake or uni, etc

                        BS MSU '91
                        MS WSU '94

I root for WSU except for 2 (or 3) games a year.

Big-Ten is looking legit this year. EU might be in for some trouble against IU.
