I’ve attended all the games referenced above with the exception of the “Stallworth vs Cincinnati Feb, '63” game. The second half of the Iowa game will “forever live in infamy”. Yes, the Florida State game was unreal from start to end; however nothing, I repeat nothing, will ever match the second-half atmosphere of the Iowa game. It was simply one of those once in a lifetime moments."You Just Want to Slap The #### Outta Some People"

I remember a game some time in the '70's where the referee had to step in front of a player, wave his arms, blow his whistle, and hold his hands out to ask for the ball. You could see when the referee originally blew the whistle because he signaled with his arm, but the players on the court couldn't hear the whistle and kept playing.
In that same game a player picked up his dribble, looked at the ref funny, and walked over to him, handed him the ball, and was called for traveling. The player thought he had heard a whistle. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

1. Florida State because of high decibels from the initial tip to the final buzzer.
2. Tied. Cincinnati
2. Tied. Iowa. The noise factor was pretty average until about 10 minutes to go in the game. Then, there were mega decibels."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

Here is the write-up for the Florida State game:
Actually, Pickett hit the 3-pointer to send the game into overtime and Jamar Howard, of all people, hit a 3-pointer to send the game into the second overtime.

If you are counting all games played at that facility there is only one answer: The Midwest Regional game aginst Iowa. Early in the second half the Shocks were down 15 points, and began to claw their way back. Randy Smithson put the Hawkeye away with two cluch free throws. I could not hear the fellow standing next to me. The national TV announcers couldn't be heard. The building was shaking. If ever there was game where the crowd would not let their team fade, this is was it.

For myself, the Florida State game is by far #1
But some of Murry's buzzer-beaters evoke some pretty big booms...
And let's not forget the TCU game where they read us the rules. The level of vitriol coming from the crowd was insane...Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

Well, I haven't gotten to see any home (Wichita) games since Marshall has been @ WSU but the quietest game I've ever been to was last year in Springfield when we had a 25 point or so lead over the bears at halftime. About 10 other Shocker fans and myself were the only ones even breathing.
