    • The Colonial conference looks like the best bet for a quality opponent.

George Mason is supposed to be pretty good this year. VCU is good every year. Northeastern and Hofstra were good last year, we'll see how they are this season.

Personally, every year I always hope to get VCU because they are usually one of the best RPI games in the Bracket Busters and they are consistently good, so they will be a quality game the following season.

      • We only need our matchup to be good. I don't care what the rest of the field looks like. We have enough issues with scheduling that we have no other option than to participate. We've been pretty lucky with the matchups we've had in this event, we simply need to start winning the games.

        • Going beyond names on the uniform, Loyloa-Marymount and Wofford should be good and wins over them will help.

              • For those of you wondering why we would play a game there and give up the home-court advantage at CKA - this is from the article:

The NCAA requires WSU to hold a game at Intrust Bank Arena in preparation for the 2011 NCAA women's basketball tournament games there in March.

                  So it doesn't matter if it's a women's or men's game?

It doesn't matter because it is to demonstrate that the facility can successfully host a Division I basketball event. The rule is there to make sure that facilities aren't getting their first run at hosting basketball with an NCAA event.

                        Thanks TMH, makes perfect sense.

                        • So does anybody know what they will do for student tickets for the Intrust game? Will they still be free or just discounted? Or will they have any at all?

                            • Did it ever get resolved about our 2nd exhibition game / practice partner? Last I heard we were looking for a practice partner since KSU pulled out at the last minute, but I have not heard that we have found one, nor that we've scheduled a 2nd exhibition. Has anyone heard anything?

I'll try and get it together if no one else does. I normally help do it, but just haven't had the time yet this year.
