Rivals board has less replies, but more respect.

When I posted that, three of the four replies were already scouting their game with MSU. Since then a few informed fans have balanced the ignorance.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but for those still needing tickets. The general public can order on August 25th starting at 2pm Central.

I don't blame UCONN fans for at first chalking it up as a victory. The Shockers haven't gotten much national attention as of late. That will change before game time as we will be slight favorites.

I know there's another thread that probably has the answer, how much are the tickets for the Shocker games and what's the chance of getting them? I got the itch to book a flight. I was planning on going to the LSU game, but a flight to Maui is only $300 more.

Yep every other year. 2006, 2008, 2010. All at neutral sites, although Auburn Hills was hardly neutral. If we play them in Maui, let's hope for no rain delays.
If we were fortunate enough to face Michigan State in that tourney, we'd be due. We lost both previous match ups in recent memory, and the second one was fairly close if I remember right, with the 05/06 matchup being a little less close down the stretch. Either way, one game at a time. Uconn better bring their A game or they will be beaten.

Tickets are $330. I recommend calling the ticket office ASAP. They had some extras but may or may not still have some.

I like this matchup. After reading UCOnn posts I think they know this isn't going to be a easy game.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Looking over UConn's stats from last year.

Obviously, we really can't know what to expect from their incoming recruits. But based on who returns from last year I see they don't really have a proven 3-pt shooter (Walker shot roughly the same as Murry, who we often complained about in this area). They return 3.2 blocks/game in the post so they look tough on interior defense. Walker also averaged 2.1 steals/game.

That is eastern time. Hawaii is 4 hrs behind central time in the winter. Looks like our first game is at 2pm, who's up for a half day of work?
I've already put in for my 1/2 day on Mon. Tues. & Wed. I just don't know which half on Tues & Wed yet.

Best first-round game: Don’t be surprised if Wichita State – the favorite in the Missouri Valley Conference – upsets a Connecticut squad that lost Stanley Robinson, Jerome Dyson and Gavin Edwards.
