From what I've read, they are moving games to:

    1. Create a legitimate home court advantage
    2. Get more students to games (better atmosphere)
    3. Increase revenue

We're not seriously going to play a road game in a 1,700 seat "gym," are we?
C'mon, man, they want to try and get a sell out.

Then they'd better start playing in the racquetball room at the YMCA.

After going through the list, the following teams look like they are open to H-H with dates that we are looking to play, with at least those marked (R) stating they'd start on the road: Arkansas, Missouri, Richmond, St. Mary's, Miss St, Oregon St, Seton Hall, UAB (R), Xavier (R), Dayton (R), and Arizona St (R).

Might have to give up a home game to get one, but would hope we could get at least two games for this year out of that list.

Id take all of those, and they would look great for the schedule. Maybe not so much UAB...but i would kill to play Missouri. Really any Big 12 team.

As said many times before, teams simply are not interested in playing the 2010-2011 Shocks.

Next year, fine. This year, not so much. I have put myself mentally into a place where I cannot be frustrated by the remaining games that will fill out the schedule. It will be bad, it's just better to deal with it now. There is NOTHING we can do about it at this point.

                Doc,
I feel your pain, but if I was a BCS team would you blame me for not scheduling WSU?

Let's take a look at the facts.

                1) A team coming off a 25 win season.

                2) A veteran team led by 4 Sr's & 5 JR's. The majority of the SR's are 5th year players (and one a 6th).

                3) The JR's have either started or played major minutes since they were Frosh.

                4) Have 2 7-footers, with one showing signs of being ready to dominate the league. The other is a 7' athletic freak.

                5) Plays before a sold out, packed house every game before 11K fan-atics who live and die for every game.

Hell, I wouldn't want to play them either. 8)
Above all, make the right call.

I'm curious why schedules cannot be partially completed a couple years in advance.

"partially"? They are....we know 9 teams we are going to play twice every year, and a couple more that we usually play once a year.

Our current deal with Tulsa covers 4 years. Hopefully, that gets extended permanently.

Does anybody know if we play K-State in another practice game before this coming Season. If we beat them again as last year, we will know we are for real. This coming Season is one we have all been anticipating positive results for some time. We can just play them one at a time and see what happens. We will be tough at home. We will have a very, very deep team which will result in quality bench play.

The key is this. Now with our most experienced team in some time, how will we produce at nuetral sites and on the lonely road in Valley play? Folks will understand we have a solid squad and will be gunning for us. Even so, if our players learn to play together and develop consistent leadership, watch out!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

IIRC WSU is not playing KSU in another practice game, but a SEC team.

                            ITC it's probably Arkansas.

Two LSU point guards are off the team. K.C. Ross-Miller, who WSU recruited, failed to clear the NCAA Clearinghouse. Bo Spencer is not at LSU anymore due to academic problems.

Personal opinion only - Arkansas would be an easier game for WSU than K-State.
