Another factor in our success--particularly early on is limiting turnovers and easy buckets. Last year sporadically throughout the year there were some defensive mental lapses. I'm hoping that the maturity will help eliminate most of that.

Stutz needs a good scoring 4 man playing with him on the floor. Blair or Durley could fit that role, but AE couldn't. Smith will be relieving Hatch at the 3, with DK getting some on those minutes when he is not relieving at the 2 spot.
We have been pretty lucky with injuries the last couple of years. I don't see Richardson or Hamilton getting many minutes this coming year, mostly because they will get beat out for playing time.
Rags or Demetric - toss up on who will start and who will relieve
Murry
Hatch
Blair (I think he beats out Ellis to start)
JT Durley
Rags or Demetric - toss up
Kyles
Smith
Ellis
Stutz
(Smith adds scoring threat to pick for Ellis's lack of scoring threat).
(Still feel as offensive power is lacking some because of Ellis).
The other players play when there is foul problems or injuries.

Here's the deal. This coming Season is one that we have been waiting for and pointing to in terms of success, way back when. Who might start games? Williams, Toure', Hatch, Stutz, and Durley. Who could be in close games at the finish? Rags, Toure', Hatch, Stutz, and Blair. How about a turn-key defensive team? Rags, Toure, Kyles, Ellis, and Durley.
Here are some combos that would be fun to watch. Toure' and Kyles(This may be huge the following Season). Twin Towers, EO and Stutz. How about a rebounding combo of Stutz, Blair, Durley together? Or a dead eye shooting team of Rags, Ben Smith, Toure', Hatch, and Stutz? I would enjoy Rags and DW playing together at times. The point is, we have oodles of possible combos that could create havoc for our opponents.
Who might redshirt? Maybe I am being greedy or selfish, but I hope nobody does this Season. Let's throw every current Shocker in the fold but the kitchen sink, and see what is shaking come March when it is time for Dancing with the Stars. Yes, there may be times there are not enough minutes to go around. However, an injury or two at the end, as last Season, can hurt in the close games down the stretch. If each of our players can stay focused on the big picture and play together, and fullfill the role asked of them by Coach Marshall, watch out!!!!!!! Is it October yet? Stay tuned because THIS IS SHOCKER COUNTRY AND WILL BE AN IMPROVED AND DEEPER SQUAD!!!!!!! CAN U DIG IT? GROOVY!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ragland, Murry, Hatch, Durley, Stutz.
A friend of mine commented to me the other day about how we can go small:
Rags, Williams, Murry, Kyles, Durley
Or big:
Murry, Kyles, Ellis, Durley, Stutz
and be confident with the lineup.
I'm more and more impresseed with the pieces Coach Marshall has put together everyday.

PG - Murry (That's cool)
SG - Durley (He's the 3-shooter of the bunch, but...WOW - just WOW!)
SF - Ellis (That could actually work)
PF - Stutz (I wouldn't be surprised to see Stutz at this spot his Sr year - and I think he could be scary good on the offensive end at that spot)
C - EO (Obvious)
The second-best dribbler in that group might be Stutz, so I think there could be some ball-handling problems.
On the defensive end it gets more interesting. Man-to-man would have quickness issues and someone who could hit a pull-up jumper from around 12' could shred that D. I don't think there would be too much of a problem with someone driving from the perimeter and finishing at the bucket. It's tough to finish when you look up and all you can see is armpits.
So, you'd probably go zone and to slow down the 3-shooters have Ellis dog the hot shooter. Yikes! Ellis would find himslf run ragged within minutes, but it would be interesting for a few minutes to watch the 6'2" 3-point shooters in the Valley get their shots off with a 6'9" guy flying at them with his arms up.
The transition game would have to rely on a secondary break. I'm afraid the initial break would break down with only Murry really able to dribble downcourt with any real speed.
That would be a really interesting lineup on an X-Box.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
