Given the damage he did to our program how can we help but hate him?

According to one of the reporters who was on 810. This story will have many tentacles. And discussion on 610 in KC this afternoon pointed out that the Pumps pretty much assumed the role of Godfathers of College Basketball after Sonny Vacarro stepped out of the limelight a few years back.
Many prominent programs could get caught up in this.Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

I wonder how the WAC or CUSA will feel about accepting KU into their conference with this cloud hanging over them? LaTech and UAB can't sullied by this type of behavior.
Too good to be true. So much for nothing to talk about this summer. I'm sure ISASO has gone through several pairs of underwear already. The nightwatchman too, but for different reasons.

Perhaps the most stupid, arrogant and chickenshat comment I have ever heard from anyone was the Chancellor trying to tell the media that the athletic deparment was the victim here.
I felt like it was a White House PBR spin job.

If it were happening here, it would still be disgusting and stupid. I doubt it is, but it would never be on the scale of a KU. Our arena doesn't seat anywhere near what there's does, so the sheer number of available tickets is considerably less. I just doubt it would happen like that here.
As I said, the sad part is nothing major will come of this. Some folks may be brought up on charges, but you can bet Perkins will never be one of them, and the program will not be affected in any noticeable way. These kinds of practices may or may not stop at KU or more likely they'll probably just get better at hiding it.
I'm just pessimistic when it comes to holding 'big conference' schools accountable. Unless it's so blatant and obvious that the coaches or a player committed an infraction, the fact is nothing happens. It's just the sad truth. It just makes it that much sweeter when a UNI makes a fool out of them in the tourney. Hopefully one day it will be us making a fool out of them.
