I am glad we got him, I think it is a good fit for the Shocks and Garrett. And it is going to be so much fun showing Kentucky how dumb they were over the next 4 years!

There are some aspects of life where more in not better, but not in jumping ability for basketball players.

My tongue was in cheek, when I said 30-36 inches.

If he can jump higher than Paul Miller, I will be happy, I guess.

I was a little curious about jumping abilities of basketball players. So, I Googled.

A typical player can jump 18-24 inches.

An outstanding jumper can jump 42-48 inches.

Well in 28 days I'll be able to give a full scouting report from a 1st hand experience (assuming I don't find another game to attend before that).


Man it seems like forever since the last real basketball season.

20-24 inches would be just fine for a 7 footer. His heigt alone, without much jumping ability will alter shots.
