the article says that skinner was let go prior to the St. Johns interview..but regardless...Steve fricking Lavin the next coach at St. Johns? I find that a little surprising...is he from the area or do they just like his TV work...maybe its just me but I find that kind of amazing ....
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Sounds like UTEP won the Floyd sweepstakes.

Tim Floyd is coming back to El Paso and couldn't be happier about returning to the school that gave him his first coaching job more than 30 years ago.

FWIW, Iowa had listed (and hasn't removed) its head coaching spot online, as well as having all 3 assistant spots open. Sad how the mighty have fallen.

Exciting opportunity in La Crosse, WI for University of Wisconsin-La Crosse as a Assistant Volleyball Coach/Facilities and Events Coordinator

Of course, if Houston gets Gillispie, one could say they won getting Gillispie.

I guess Oregon has not found a coach that 'walks like a duck' yet ... lol

At a salary that promises to exceed 4 mil a year, I am sure they will. Anyone else think that they might approach Brad Stevens (Butler) eventually. 88 wins the last 3 years is pretty impressive.

Yes, as reported in the Eagle this morning, Izzo was approached by Oregon with the promise to make him the richest coach exceeding the current high salary of 31.65 million dollar contract for Calipari (Kentucky) for 8 years that was signed last year. Izzo already makes more than 3 million a year.

Private colleges do not have to report their coach's salaries, and Calipari is the highest reported salary currently.
