    Here's the WSU excerpt:

Wichita State Shockers – Odds: 5/2 – teamrankings.com: 19.15% - WSU exceeded expectations this season by finishing second in the Valley with a 12-6 record. The Shockers were picked to end in the middle of the pack, but went undefeated at home and registered three road wins to finish the regular season at 23-8.

They can win if… they can score. The Shockers are 17-1 this season when they score 69 points or more.

They are out if… opponents are able to control the paint against their small lineup.

Outlook: The young Shockers had an excellent regular season, but Coach Gregg Marshall's squad doesn't have a solid road win this season. They will fizzle out in the semifinals in a fantastic game against Illinois State.

I'm not usually a fan of "Joe Book's predictions" and I'm not in agreement here.

The MVC tourney starts today and so I'm back from my "vacation from SN" (which I only violated on occasion.)
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Trust me... I hope I'm wrong, too.

Who in our lineup is "small"?

If Marshall keeps the lineup from the SIU game, we'll start at 7'0" and 6'7", with 6'7" and 6'9" off the bench.

        SMALL?
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

          From http://www.msubearnation.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=17168 Joe Book writes:
" I really like MSU's chances to be the darkhorse team in this tourney. "

I guess WSU's small lineup (Stutz, Durley, Hatch, Murry, Hannah) may have trouble with MSU's big lineup.

I admit the small lineup comment confused the hell out of me. We don't normally play Felter/Brown/Mayes/Manigault together...

If the three-point line catches fire, this could be an INSU upset!

I was confused also but maybe he was thinking.

That is small in comparision to maybe 3 teams in the valley.

From what I've seen, G uses some small lineups against opponents' big lineups.

The starting lineup matches up with just about anyone sizewise.

Spangs... no dating anymore. I really do think anything can happen. (except Evansville winning out... :)

This is the most wide open tourney in recent memory. I agree with the "they can win... if they can score" comment. If the Shocks & Redbirds play it could be a "flashback" game in future years but first things first.

                    Go Valley!!

                    Go Shocks!!!!

Maybe he meant the small guards?

                      Meh, don't know don't care

I'm pretty sure Lutz predicted that we'd lose today too. In all fairness, I'm sure they aren't the only ones. It's nice to see people get proven wrong!
