For the very upper end of teams in Bracket Busters, it is an elimination game for consideration for an at large bid. It's been that way for years.
A team can still get an at large if they win one of just a few non-BCS leagues, and lose BB and their leagues auto bid, but that's about the only way.
A BB win for an upper-level BB team doesn't guarantee an invite, but a loss just about guarantees not getting one.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Let's see - 1 was a "no gain, no loss" situation and 2 was a "no gain, but could lose" situation.
Tell me again why the Valley is still in this thing, while the Atlantic-10, C-USA, MWC, and WCC have opted out?

These kids are work horses, they are here to cultivate revenue for our beloved alma mater's athletic programs. It's all about the Benjamins. I'm not condoning the system but it is what it is and that's a form of institutionalized slavery/indentured servitude through the NCAA.“Losers Average Losers.” ― Paul Tudor Jones
