No, it's becoming evident that Marshall doesn't feel that a sellout or damn near sellout and a loud arena is good enough. He is taking the fan support for granted.

It was - without question in my mind – a compliment to the Utah State fans uttered minutes after the game when the Spectrum crowd remained fresh on his mind. Nothing more than that.
I have to disagree with Paul on this one.

I agree that HCGM was wanting to pay a well-deserved compliment to the USU students and fans. However, you can easily do that without taking a jab at your own fan base. HCGM is not stupid. IMO, his jab at the WSU fan base was intentional.

To what end or for what purpose I can't say, but I believe the jab was made purposely.

Perhaps it was just lingering bad feelings about the smattering of boos the team received at the Evansville game. If so, I think HCGM would be better served to let that go and quit expending any more energy on it. He clearly has larger and more important issues to address with this team.

If he thinks these comments will motivate the fan base to become more consistently energetic and creative then let's hope it works, although I still think he is wasting his time and energy.

Ummmm........he had every right to be upset with the fans after the Evansville game. The crowd was pretty bad at the Indiana St game too. USU has a crazy atmosphere. You can tell that from TV. You don't get that from a TV game at WSU.

And he doesn't owe the fans squat. Right now he has to worry about what is going on with his team. He doesn't have to explain anything. Maybe the fans should start showing up and actually doing what they claim to be capable of, not just at certain times.

I just think everyone is reading WAYYYYYYYYYYY to much into this. I guess it's just everyone has their own different view on this. I say we just drop this and let someone call him out on the coaches show and see what he says about it. Until then, all that is going to happen is everyone is going to continue arguing about it.

I'm done arguing, cause it obviously doesn't do any good. I say we try and find something else to focus on until Marshall has a chance to explain himself. Again, I doubt anyone will call him out on it....but we'll see.

He's probably trying to distract from the sorry excuse for a basketball display we've been subjected to lately.

Guess I struck a nerve and I take it you're one of the ones with the blinders on.
LOL Lot's of people that have been crying about EVERY LITTLE THING lately are getting on my nerve. Has nothing to do with "blinders". Half of the posters on this site are starting to sound like the "whine and cheese fans" of KU. It's getting damn annoying LOL
Our coach has been crying about little things lately too. It is getting a bit annoying.

Amen to that! He needs to focus on this team and the downward spiral that appears to be coming...

This place is gonna blow an O-ring if we bend over against SIU next weekend.

When's the last time we had a home game on ESPN2? Our at-large possibilities were shattered after the EU game. The fans still showed up for a sellout with MSU (which I was frankly surprised at) and 10,400+ for the return game with Evansville. The support is there, but it's hard to get "into it" when you have a team that has shown little care, little effort, and needed a miracle to come back and beat Evansville at home.

Maybe this team is a bit too dependent on the fans. The coach's job is to make the team prepared for every game, no matter what the circumstances. That's not happening.

That might be kind of funny to witness. But I don't want the Shox to lose, so in that regard I hope we avoid that scenario.

A loss against BU and SIU is a large possibility. It wouldn't surprise me one bit, especially with our weak fan support.

OMG people, give it a rest. This appears to be Peyton Place (old night time soap opera for you younsters) and not Shockernet. Do we really have to melt down about everything? Right now, our inferiority complex is really showing.
