I didnt really want to reply....I kind of feel like ASM....Yawn......but oh well here it goes....

l Michael Jordan is rumored to be just as a bad as Tiger and finally had to cut out the band of NBA buddies that included Barkley and others....I just think that its golf and that the way it became public...and that hes been so picture perfect in the eyes of many that Tigers is paying the price for the eliteness of his sport...his near perfect image...the press is just having a feeding frenzy now that the pristine one has fallen from grace...How many others fit into his behavior pattern, rock stars, actors....and none have been quite as publicized as this....

Im not condoning his behavior ...Its atrocious and being that he was married and has kids...the causuality list will grow. I just think the press do as they choose and fan the flames of this event so that its out of control so that it suits their alterior motives of having the sensational story....that in all honesty is just easy news...not at all what is important to many of us... i.e. the plane crash into the IRS building... acts of domestic terrorism..take a back seat to sensationalized news
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

          You got that right.

More obnoxious than Tiger Talk is the always haughty press and their demand than Tiger answers all their questions and behave not as they do, but as they say. The avalanche of criticism from the self-righteous press is nauseating.

Hopefully, after tomorrow, this episode will be over.

          Gag!

But, he's hiding in his therapy while his wife takes care of his kids. He lost me when he had to have therapy to deal with his success & his excesses. Therapy is nothing more than a retreat where he gets to learn justification for his actions. If he's sorry, grow up & deal with your problems. DOn't run off to a little retraeat to hide. Oh and learn to drive. Most people can back out of their drive way w/o hurting themselves. If you have all of that lavish luxury & entitlement, do your neighborhodd a favor & hire a driver.
As far as the title to the thread, I don't think Tiger teaches us much. For the most part, WSU basketball has been lacking gaudy results. WSU fans are loyal to their team through the ups & downs. We work hard in our lives & work hard to support the team. While we might have been frustrated by a bad loss, we still support our team & look forward to the future & plan to support our team into that future.
A lotta assumptions going on there.

As other posters have stated Tiger is a golfer, maybe the best of all-time but that is all he is a golfer. Any time you want to set a man up as your role-model you are asking for problems. Tiger has always been a pretty private person and and his private life should be just that private. I admire people that excel at various endeavors but because they are talented at something I don't think they should be a role-model at anything other than what they are good at, not many people out there that don't have some warts if you want to dig deep enough. Of course those of you wanting him stoned (not literally) might want to examine their own hands to see if they are clean enough to cast that first stone.
