Same old thing, getting beat by dribble penetration. Thats why the opponent field goal percentage has been high the last several games. The play book is out and all the Valley teams are using it. If Marshall does not make an adjustment before St. Louis there will be an early exit which is sad because I think we can win it on the neutral court.

I'm just a little worried (maybe alot) about GH and his 3 pt shooting. Didn't he have problems at the end of last year losing his touch. It may be he is just getting beaten to death and can't get his legs into his shot. I really hope he can rest up a little against e'ville this week.

At least we did not foul so much tonight but rather drew many fouls. We do need to shore up some things and keep omproving from this moment on.

We are now 21-6 on a Season that I predicted 21 overall wins preseason. We are far from done!!!!!!! Have the Shocks ever had many undefeated home Seasons in times past?
I thought we did a better job of fighting through screens tonight, and they didn't get as many easy buckets as many teams we've faced recently. To their credit, they made a lot of shots with a hand in their face. To our credit, we still won a game where we were outshot, because we kept up the intensity, rebounded well, didn't make a lot of stupid fouls, and hit the free throws, Gabe Blair excepting.

BTW, that booing streak after the b.s. charging calll was the longest I've ever witnessed at The Roundhouse. Any of the lifers have stories of any that compare?

I don't think he ever got his outside shot out of the rut all last year. His points came on drives. Perhaps he should start that again. I like him at the line.

I think the team looks tired, both mentally and physically. There isn't the energy there was earlier. FT's have been clanking off the front of the rim more often in the last several games. Durley looks like he's given about all he's got to give.

It could be that getting to this point in the season with some rigorous practices might have worn the Shox out before the season ran out. Maybe the Shox can get a second wind, or maybe they just need more upper classmen and players with more years under Marshall's pretty rigorous coaching style.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I saw this noted on the USU board....

                  WSU 39 ft attempts
                  MSU 14 ft attempts

he thought we got some home favoritism from the officials........i can understand why just looking at it...but thats hardly been the case this year

I think we got to the line a lot because they were all over our bodies the whole game.

They could have been called for several more fouls. I am glad we kept our own fouls to a mild roar!!!!!!!

First half was pretty impressive. Our passing and back-cuts made it arguably the best offensive half of the year. It's a shame we missed about 5 or 6 of those lay-ups. I guess we're so used to taking 10-20 foot one-on-one shots that we don't know how to make the easy deuces.

Second half was fugly ball. I'm just happy to get the win. They at least cared about this game, unlike Tuesday night.

Refereeing was horrible on both ends. The one block called on Durley may have been the WORST blown call I've ever seen at a WSU game... EVER. Absolutely horrible.

I expect a 20 point beating Wednesday night.. if they (the team) care..

Gotta play for second. Don't worry about the NCAA's now because we're not getting an at-large.

+1 on the kid from 118 yelling. Annoying as hell! Overall im glad we won. They took my darn sign though. That kind of made me mad! But whatever. I hope we can make it rain on wednesday!
