Nobody has a bad attitude towards the NIT. However, comparing an NIT home game with anybody and an NCAA game is laughable.

    ... No really, deuces.

There is only one tournament, the NCAA tournament. I am so jealous of Creighton's consistency in getting to the NCAA's. I would trade our couple of wins in 2006 for their decade of invites. :(

If the Shox do get stuck with an NIT game, I hope they play at Koch in contrast to IBA. I'd rather UNC play on campus than at Old Towne.
Of course a lot of KU fans would want to attend so they can welcome Roy back to the state of Kansas.

Let's hope we win it all in STL.

Umm..IBA is definitely not in Old Town, and why do you think WSU would play there instead of Koch if they get in the NIT?

                SIU yes. CU?.... Please

Someone needs to explain to CU that they are not in a bowl game, if you win you can play again....

The one thing that scares me about the NIT is the fact that we could possibly lose the home streak, I know that's irrelevant, but still, I like to be able to say things like that.

I doubt that any first round opponent in the NIT would be any better than NIU or Texas Tech....maybe not even anyone better than them in the second round if we could get 2 home games.....
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Yea, not really sure what you'd call it - sort of between downtown, waterwalk, and old town? How about WADO?
As Sully pointed out, not sure of the tight turn-around time. However, depending on the competition, you'd be able to add approx 3k-4k more seats.
If it were UNC, the Shox would have about 30,000 more fans from up north.

I'm counting on the Shox sweeping in STL though.

All of the pre-NIT talk is pure BS.

Unless someone cancels the rest of the season, there are still 5 regular season games and then it's off to STL.

This may be a news flash to some, but if they win in STL, they punch their ticket to another tournament. I understand it's quite a show too.

If they do pull it off in STL, this thread and the premature speculation will look rather retarded. 8)

If we win in St. Louis SR, you can bump this thread a million times and feed me crow until kingdom come.

Just a notice to the low-altitude season ticket holders out there:

I'm not saying that I think the Shockers will be playing in the NIT, but just in case they do end up in the NIT, AND IF we end up hosting UNC at any point there, I will pay whatever premium I have to to get seats in the bottom 10 rows within 1 section of the visitor's bench.

Seriously, if it goes down like that, make me a quote. Chances are I'll pay it. I'll also bring cheat sheets for our section, the surrounding sections, and the student section for all the things we're going to yell at RoyBoy.

For my part, I promise to be clean. I don't work blue, but I will dig every piece of dirt out of Roy's history and throw it at him. I will stand up and yell at every UNC free throw. I will have a sign with the NCAA Recruiting Violation Hotline phone number on it. I will start a chant of "Maur-ice-Ev-ans (clap, clap, clapclapclap)" When we ice the game I'll hold up a box of Kleenex. I will be polite to the fans around me and I'll do my absolute best to keep from hurting someone's ears with my yelling - short of not yelling of course.

I'm putting this out now, so that I'm the first in the queue if this happens. I hope I'm taking the day off in March to watch the Shox in the Dance, but I like to be prepared.

                                :wsu_posters: :yahoo:
