If there's one central question/criticism I have for Marshall is why can't you get your team to match your persona? You come across as a fierce competitor with plenty of passion for the game yet your players exemplify none of that. Sooner or later coach has to figure that out.

It takes a certain type personality...Ramon for example.

And what did the Shocker player (Kyles?) do with the ball after Hatch's great save? Oh yeah. He dribbled it off of his foot and out of bounds.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

No, if I remember correctly, he saved it to Durley, who immediately swung the ball to the opposite site of the court, where a teammate proceeded to clang a three.

Here is another memorable quote after tonight's game...

"We didn't come out with any energy in the first half," WSU senior Clevin Hannah said. "That was really the difference."

              It's a disturbing reoccurring theme/excuse.

Same ol' broken record from these guys and the same ol' outcome, another loss on the road.

If these starters aren't going to bring it every time out on the court, then GM needs to shake up the lineup and play those who will. Record be damned! It is painfully obvious these players aren't bringing their 'A' game and they know it and freely admit it.

Sit their asses down and let one of the bench guys play his guts out. We may lose, but at least we will be entertained watching them give their best effort and applaud them for it.

I think I'll have to agree with KC on this one. For me, the minimun standard is "leave it all on the floor" effort. I will stand and cheer all night long and applaud the team into the tunnel regardless of the score if I believe they have given a complete effort but I'm not confident of that with some players. That said ... I also believe poor decision making that create errors (turnovers, bad fouls, poor shot selection, poor defensive adjustment) by players causes the players decision making to slow down which can give the appearance of a lack of effort. This makes perfect sense in my mind ... probably has everybody else saying "huh"?
