  • Worst Loss in the history of the program

    I'll say it.

    Tell me where I'm wrong,

    1. Facing an inferior opponent by a LOOONNNNGGGG shot.

    2. Still a ton to play for, no effort, none, zilch nada.

    3. Poor coaching

    4. Poor defense

    5. Poor shooting

    6. Poor decisions

    etc, etc, etc.

Given that this isn't the 1990's and we actually had expectations, I'd say "yes"... or pretty damn close to it.

This is the first game that will directly cause me to not go to the next one.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Nope. This one comes in a dubious second place.

The worst loss was to a 1-28 Drake team in the Valley Tournament in Randy's first year. 8)
Above all, make the right call.

Definitely worst loss since I've been a Shocker fan. This is a million times worse than those losses to UMKC.

I may have eaten my words from the last game, but I knew this team was/is not ready for the next level. I have said it all along this season, we have won 20 games thanks to a piss poor OOC schedule and from facing some piss poor MVC teams.

This team's half court offensive set is down right pathetic, and their defense can't stop dribble penetration.

I better not see one nimrod predict a win at USU. We can't even win against a previously winless squad who's game attendence could be overshadowed by Heights High School.

We have five MVC losses in this pathetic conference right now? Are you freakin' kidding me. The MVC is as low as I can remember and we still can't stop from losng 5. There will be more, mark my words.

At least we were a play-in team that year. We lost this one as a team that's second in the Valley that thought they were NCAA Tourney eligible..

I think we will beat Evansville at home. Other than that, my level of confidnece in this team has been shaken big time.

                  Not arguing the facts.
However, the worst part about it was I was there and had to endure all 40 minutes in person. 8)

I feel for you. I couldn't imagine watching a game much worse than the one tonight.

KC Shox---Count me in as a Nimrod!!! Just as capable as we are to lose to a formally winless Evansville team, we can turn around and beat a team like USU. However, right now, I am worried about beating Mo. State. They will want to repay the loss we handed them at their house. Even on some of our wins, we have not playing smart and NOW is not the time for a funk!!!!!!! What will our team psyche now be? It seems like we had some pouting players tonight. We are undefeated at home but Mo. State is far superior to Evansville!!!!!!! I would HATE IT, if we let Creighton catch us in the Valley!!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

You always predict wins so you don't count. I'm not worried about any of our home games, I'm still going out on a limb and say the Shox will go unbeaten there, but away from Koch (hence our 6 losses), we suck dog doo doo. So my friend, don't worry about SMS, just worry about how respectable the loss will be at USU.

You are correct KC about me always prediciting a win. I can't enjoy the game if I pick us to lose. That is just me. I am more focused on finishing 2nd in the Valley after being picked 5th. I would depise letting Creighton catch us. We have a better team than them this year and we need to prove that!!!!!!! If we play like tonight, USU will pulverize us!!!!!!!

They will also show us how the game is to be played. Well, maybe not. After our game tonight, they'll probably have a big let down and take us for granted and both teams will play that poo.
