    Parrish

I don't think Parrish has anything against WSU, and he has indeed given the Shocks some favorable publicity over the years.

There's no reason to think he's suddenly mad at us, or WSU, or the Keeper of the Plains, or whatever. He just doesn't think WSU has done enough to merit an at-large bid or a ranking so far, and judging from the polls, that perception is probably widely held.

Still time to fix it, but WSU has to take care of business and then step up in the tougher games like Utah State and at Bradley -- and then in St. Louis. Do that and Parrish, plus the really relevant people like the selectors, will probably sing a different tune. And of course, if the Shocks step up all the way in St. Louis, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks anyway.

You can critique it all you want. This is his Top 26.

        Hmmm...

Interesting that even Butler is only 23rd on his list...

Having UNI 12th might be dumb, but not having UNI anywhere in the Top 26 is beyond dumb.

Overall 19-4... you can't count the loss to Pitt since Hannah didn't play. Blame that one on the moron's at the NCAA. :D
If you throw out non-Hannah games, then to be fair and equitable, it is 17-4.

              Thanks.

Texas, Baylor, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest are all overrated.

Exactly. His whole "deal" is to critique those that vote. You could critique any vote out there. At least it's some pub (like KC said).

I'd rather be in the conversation, rather than nobody talking about us.

Well, remember, wufan, points only come from being in somebody's top 25. So what you're really saying is that WSU shouldn't be ranked -- and by the way, I agree; if I were a voter I couldn't justify putting WSU in the top 25 -- but that some voter somewhere should think WSU belongs in the top 25.

Which, I guess, gets us back to KC's idea -- are you saying, wufan, that some voter should smoke crack?

Edit: Or maybe sniff glue! Thanks, Kung Wu.
I think we are appropriately not ranked, and appropriately receiving a couple of votes. This is a national poll, and by all accounts not all polsters think alike or see the same games. If the voter that picked us as #21 watched us beat UNI and barely lose to them also saw us beat Texas Tech and a couple other games and watched UNI dismantle a few teams, I can certainly understand why he would put us in the top 25. I just think that the majority of the pollsters (as well as most of us on the board) don't think we are top 25, and thus we shouldn't be ranked. Still, some will see us in that light...we aren't that far out.

I would have UNI in, GA Tech out.

Oh man, what it was like to be in the National Discussion. It was good pub either way, until tonight
