I'm proud of how we somehow managed to stay in the game but my God, we shot ourselves with this one. Completely gave away our NCAA hopes at where? the free throw line.. the place where somehow we're No.9 in the country again. Guess it just depends on who's at the line.

Just hope that the Shockers continue to learn that you can't just go out and hope to win. You have to go out and decide to win. That means hitting free throws, taking care of the ball and playing to your strengths. We aren't doing it when it matters. We are still playing dumb basketball. We have our moments, but it's not there yet.

It was said on this board that we needed to get this game in the 70's to win, we need to find a way to do that. We obviously didn't do that tonight. We totally played to UNI's game and that played into the outcome as well. We may have better players, but we are not a better team.

The T was OK... got the team fired up and gave us a chance. At least he didn't get the T when we had the ball.

T is never a good idea while the game is not decided.

Great effort, just lacked a bit of composure. Still some immature decision making but that will improve with time.

Rebounds, Free Throws, and shot selection in the final minute really hurt.

HOWEVER, we just played a top 25 team on their court and were better than them for most of the game.

Btw, never seen Ahlegbe hit that many outside shots in the 10 games COMBINED that I've watched him play. He was unconscious.

I am equally disturbed by the free throws, but the team's going to have to earn it's way into the NCAA through the Valley Tourney. Most of us prior to the start of conference season would probably have predicted that anyway. Yep--disappointing to have a shot and to fall short of course though.

Sorry, this team just isn't ready to handle the pressure of a conference race or to contend for the championship. I saw alot of choking going on, especially with forced shots towords the end of the game. They buckled under the pressure....UNI didn't.

Perhaps this will take a little pressure off the Shox now that UNI has pretty much sealed up the championship. One can only hope. I didn't expect to win and actually would have felt better if I knew that the Shox wouldn't have given the game away with free throws and shot selection at the end of the game. That's what hurts the most.

The T was him sticking up for AE. Ill advised but understandable.

Bottom line--we make our free throw average tonight and we win I think. That to me was much more of an issue than HCGM getting animated and T'd.

Having a 'fiery' coach sometimes has it's drawbacks, but the advantages WAY outweigh the drawbacks to me.
