As much as I want the Shocks to win - and all of us do - we have got to play so much better than we have in our previous road games at (SIU, DU, and CU). I don't see it happening because Northern Iowa is so much better at home than our last three road opponents.

Alright folks. It's game day! It's time for the Shox to grab their destiny and run with it. All they have to do is win. It doesn't matter how, it doesn't matter by how much--just find a way to win and things will begin to fall in place. Tonight is their biggest test in many ways, but the true test will be keeping their competitive edge throughout the next several weeks and showing everyone that they're ready to be included in the national 'picture'.

A loss tonight will be tough, but the most important issue is effort. They need to go out and really own the 'MTXE' mantra--if there were ever a time in Coach Marshall's tenure where it would help to adopt it, it's now. Maybe X, Antoine and Cliff need to make a conference call to the WSU locker room just prior to the game and REMIND them what that attitude is like. The will to win must guide them, and even more importantly--the EXPECTATION of winning (I think those guys just expected to win every game they played). Well, it would be cool if that would happen (the phone call) but in reality they need to find it within themselves.

It should be exciting tonight! Take it to em' Shox and set the stage for a great run from now until sometime in March. UNI is a great team, and we can be too. I don't think Clevin wants to wait any longer, do you?
