I've seen enough from his play and his attitude to know that he is good for at least a couple baskets a game next year. I will tell you this, he probably won't be scoring much from the charity stripe.

I don't know, maybe I'm just a bit partial to Nigerians after watching Dinma Odiakosa play last night. :)

At this point I am pretty confident in saying that EO in his Sophomore year, will outscore GS in his Sophomore year.

      I say this because:

      1) I believe EO is smarter than GS.

      2) I believe that EO is more aggressive than GS.

      2) I believe some of the challenges that EO faces against smaller front courts in JUCO ball will be lessened when he matches up with true post players in the MVC.

      3) I believe that EO's athletic advantage over GS is comparable to a Ferrari's performance advantage over a Buick. If EO catches the ball deep enough in the post, he will simply dunk over his defender. If he learns to work his way in and use the glass, look out!

Garrett Stutz's consecutive scoring in 10 MVC Games:

      5, 6, 5, 2, 2, 4, 3, 2, 2, 4 = 3.5 ppg avg.

      Disclaimer: This post is prophetic.
Point 1 is ridiculous. You know for a fact that EO's basketball IQ is really high?

Point 2 is equally dumb- so EO can't score over 6'6'' and 6'7'' juco post players, but he'll do better against 6'9'' and 6'10'' MVC post players? Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

Point 3 is a valid point, but that athleticism hasn't so far translated to putting the ball into the basket, so we'll have to wait and see.

GS was injured for several of those games, and he's not getting more than 8-9 minutes a game, so 3.5 ppg is reasonable.
"Point 1 is ridiculous. You know for a fact that EO's basketball IQ is really high? "

EO is a very intelligent individual who comes from a very intelligent lineage. This is well-documented.

"Point 2 is equally dumb- so EO can't score over 6'6'' and 6'7'' juco post players, but he'll do better against 6'9'' and 6'10'' MVC post players? Dumb. Dumb. Dumb."

It is a known fact that a very big man is at a disadvantage against an entire floor of little men except when he is directly in front of the offensive basket.

      "3.5 ppg is reasonable."

No it is not and the coach doesn't think so either. Backhanded compliments galore sprang from coach after the game regarding Stutz: "He had a good game for him". He's getting limited minutes for a reason.
Why do you even post on this site? Have you ever even seen EO play, or are you going by what you have read on SN? Seriously...you might be the dumbest person I have never met. Go to the Bluejay cafe and bring up their IQ please!

At this point I am pretty confident in saying that GS next year, will outscore P'unk,

            I say this because:

            1) I believe GS is smarter than P'unk.

            2) I believe that P'unk is more a D-bag than GS.

            3) I believe some of the challenges that P'unk faces by being a d-bag will lessened the number of years he spends at CU and the MVC.

            4) I believe that P'unk's d-bag advantage over GS is comparable to a Ferrari's performance advantage over a Buick. If P'unk catches the ball deep enough in the post, he will simply punt it over his defender into the crowd. If P'unk learns to get that little hop into his punts, look out!

            P'unk's carrer Ts: 9.

EO is averaging about 5 points per game in JUCO play......Its always the guy we haven't seen thats going to dominate...I guess its good to have an imagination but he really hasn't demonstrated much yet.....I think he will struggle next year and if Garrett doesn't redshirt, garrett will be incrementally better...and one of them if not both will be a force in 2 years......

I believe that most people who made this type of statement were specifically referring to the performance of GS and EO next year. Which I don’t think is unreasonable under the circumstances: GS will have had a couple of years of D-1 experience under his belt and EO will have had zero.

Going forward, who knows how much EO’s offensive game will improve by the time his second year rolls around. Obviously, GS will continue to improve as well. By essentially stating that, in your judgment, EO might have more upside than GS – well that is not exactly going out on a limb.

Oh..and I don’t claim to be the second coming of Nostradamus. :)

This is an old SN topic that Cold started. Some of the things he said back then in 2008 sound similar to what is being said today in this thread.

                        Cold in 2008:
While I'm excited about all the players for next year the Nigerian Nightmare is the one I am BY FAR the most excited about. He has the body, coordination, timing, and brain to be a college superstar. He comes fresh off the boat with an attitude, speed, and a 7 1/2 foot wingspan.

In my opinion the entire program should be built around this man, who I think has the capability to take us deep into the NCAA tournament. Nobody is going to have an answer for the Nightmare's defense when he gets polished. Remember, these videos came when he only had played a few times in the States. His learning curve is massive!

                        This man is black!

                        This man has hops!

                        This man is extremely intelligent!

This man is a tiger on the court!

This man has a seven and a half foot wingspan!

This man won't be a pro wrestler!

                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-H5WZ1q1lZA
I have already anointed him. He WILL ascend to his rightful position in Shocker History and he WILL learn that you don't "shoot" 2 foot shots... you flush them.
                        MTXE today:

I know this doesn't prove anything, but, to me, these 2 posters seem pretty similar -- they both focus on race, intelligence, & dunking.

Those are eerie similarities and there are even more. But Mr. Del Rio seemed to think that this isn't Cold and I have a feeling he knows Cold pretty well. I always trust Ricky, but man, everything suggests that this is him or if nothing else, a spawn of him.

I think we make GS the point guard and EO the center. The passes from 1 to 5 will be unstopable and will result in dunks. EO will outscore GS and WSU will be national champs.

                                It's Ferrari over YUGO.

                                That's a bit extreme don't you think?
Clearly you do not "get it".

I'd like to give you a few more years to figure it out, but we have other posters waiting in the wings that provide more cogent and relevant discussions.

Quite frankly your post count has been down the past few weeks and when you do post it is rambling shows a complete lack of understanding of how a message board works.

I've had my eye on a poster over on Kansas.com. He can type about 100 words per minute and quotes Descartes. If you do not improve you'll find yourself sitting on the bench and will be considered one of the all-time greatest "busts" on Shockernet.
