Sure, the odds are on 2nd place finish if we finish strong, but it's far from impossible to say we could take 1st...and ridiculous to say we're playing for 2nd.

Until UNI hits their magic number that is not true. You can jump up and down all you want, but the fact is that there are 9 game to be played and UNI has not wrapped up anything yet. Remind you that UNI lost 3 of 4 games at the end of the season.

My vote is for UNI and the Shocks to pull away from the pack. I still don't think an at-large is out of the question. HCGM said on his show tonight that we're still 52 in the RPI even after losing to Drake. If UNI is still ranked when we play them, and if we could somehow beat them, that would be three wins against ranked teams. I think that merits some at-large consideration. There's still a lot of season left.

We also REALLY need for the Valley to be a multiple bid league THIS YEAR. I read the ESPN contract is up after next season and we'll have a hard time holding on to it if we're consistently a 1 bid league. I think we need UNI to make the tournament, and we need at least one other team, hopefully us, in there as well...

Let's just win the damn Valley tournament and let God sort out the rest. Last I checked that is the only lock for the Valley at this stage.

Maybe if we win out the rest of the way and lose in the championship game, we have a shot, but I'm guessing no one is going to vegas to lay money on that happening, and if they are, save the trip and give me a ring. I'll give you great odds!

Of course, I'm sure that if I was covering a few thousand $$ in losses if they do run the table, the chances would rise exponentially, given my luck!!
