This is a huge night for our program, imho.

I realize I've been a bit of a pessimist lately but these are important days for our program. To steal a line from a popular movie, we need to announce our presence with authority. The days for niceness and political correctness in this useless league are over. It's past time to take some of these yeahoosians by the throat and choke the life out of them.

If we can win tonight, we create separation from at least a couple of the wannabes and let UNI know they aren't going to be able to coast home. The schedule sets up great for us, IF and only IF, we can make some hay in the next 3.

The rest of the Valley games are big as well.

I believe the Shox win comfortably. I will drop by after the game to offer my congrats. The Birds are spinning their wheels and they don't have the toughness to win anywhere on the road let alone Koch Arena.

I will consider it a moral victory of sorts if the Birds lose by less than 10. Furthermore I expect Murry to dominate Eldridge much like Eldridge did to him in Redbird Arena last month.

FWIW.......Eldridge isn't too popular in Redbird land these days. Many won't be sad to see him go as he is seen by many as an underachiever who plays consistently below his considerable ability. Sure he can go off for 25 but he's even more likely to sleepwalk through 33 minutes and get 14 points without making much impact at all either way. Many feel he plays hard only in spurts and rarely brings it all game. He runs as hot and cold as a water faucet.

        prediction

WSU is solid at home but there are some match up challenges. If WSU can contain OE, it's a W. He breaks for 20+, lose.

Well as talented as we are we havent shown the ability to play with consistency game in and game out. Inability to focus on the task at hand at times. Play down to the competition .....Our crowd will have to keep this team on its toes ....Hopefully we take another step forward and avoid another step back....
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Let's have a big hand for Shock10 and KC who predicted 30 and 9 point losses respectively...your judgement about sports is unmatched. 8)

I think Shock10 did it for fun. Can't be serious to predict a 30 point loss at home. ;-)

Pretty much spot on GRL. Personally, I'm surprised. The Birds seem to have most all the components. Experience with upperclassmen, star player, solid rebounder, better than average PG. But I guess you nailed it with your post. Thanks for dropping by. You're always welcomed here.
