    WSU VS. ILLINOIS STATE PREDICTIONS

    Here's the deal. The Drake loss was a slow-burn. However, there comes a time that the Shocks and ShockerNetters have to quit licking our wounds and fast-forward to our next task at hand. The Redbirds just 'faced the music' in their own loss against S. Illinois. Yikes!!! This Valley is crazy as usual baby!!!!!!!

    Here are FSF main concerns. In the loss to Illinois State, we could not contain Mr. Eldridge and his 26 points did not disappoint the NBA scouts in attendence. Also, our inside game was not normal at Normal, Drake, or Creighton. Yesterday, Ellis, Stutz, and Blair combined for a measly 2 points. We have to get them back clicking in the offense now. Thus, it is time to clip the wings of these Redbirds starting from the inside out. The Shocks will rise up, take care of business, not over foul the red fowls, and win by 7. This game will be a war and both teams will come out swinging.

    Osiris Eldridge goes for 48 in the first 39:59 but it's his game winning three from 37 feet at the buzzer that propels ISU to victory, OE to an arena record 51 points, the Birds to dancing and stomping all over WuShock at center court, and myself being dismembered for ease of transportation to the morgue after I slit my throat on the edge of the tray of yet another stale order of nachos, 66-65.

            I understand the realist thing, and going against the usually too optimistic fan base. But do you really believe that this team is going to lose two straight home games after not losing a regular season one in nearly a year?

              Seriously? I'm down on this team right now too but I've had some time to cool.

              While our record is inflated at 17-4, we still are 17-4 and halfway through the league we're all alone in second place. Would that have satisfied you at the beginning of the year? I think so.

              In case you haven't noticed, this team plays different at home, just like they play different at home. Losing to Drake is horrid I agree, but I don't think we lose a home game this year.

              A funk? Less than 5 days ago we beatdown the No.20 team and the conference frontrunner.

              I like realism too but this seems completely off KC.

                  Dude, get off of last year LOL. We could be undefeated at home for 10 straight years and you would bring that up.

                  We won't lose at home to an Illinois St team that is struggling as much or more than we are.

                          Fever, this is the one game of the next 3 that we have the best chance of winning, so I will concede on that. But I'm just going to come right out and say there is no way in a Vikings chance to get to the Super Bowl that we win at UNI and I can't remember the last time we won at SIU.

                            Hello Shocker Friends

                            In truth.......I see the home team winning by at least 15. ISU cannot win away from RA. Period. They have little chance of winning in The Roundhouse. I'm not intending to sound like Lou Holtz and poo-pooing my team. I seriously have no faith in this game being a Redbird win.

                            WSU is a better and tougher-minded team with a tougher-minded coach. That will be the difference. I say:

                            Shox 79
                            Birds 62

                            Trust me........ISU just is not more than an average team. Average teams do not win in The Roundhouse.
