I always get irritated by the fact that Altman consistently stands inbounds on the court even when the action comes down to his end. I figured someday an opposing player would just drive right through him. As it turns out, during the CU-WSU game he got injured by one of his own players. Karma.

Fortunately it was Kip that got hurt and not one of his, or God forbid, our players. I don't think he would have escaped town if one of our players hit him. I'm sure the league will take action immediately...in Bizarro world.Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.

However, the difference with Dana is that far more than any other coach I have seen, he stands on the court when the action is on his half of the court. Time and time again, he will be on the court while players are trying to run an offense within feet or inches of him. Doing that is just an injury waiting to happen. Luckily, it was Altman himself that got hurt instead of an opposing player."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

No, I believe the coach that got the interference call made against him was the TCU coach. There were three technical fouls called in that game, IIRC.
The interference call was number 3... and should have been the second made against the head coach, but the ref made up some BS so he wouldn't have to toss him.

"Altman was kneeling on the sidelines when Harriman took a 3-point shot near the Creighton bench. Harriman took a step or two backward, then turned to sprint upcourt when Wichita State rebounded the missed shot. "
Actually, I see nothing there to indicate that Altman was inbounds. Harriman could easily have been outside the line after taking "a step or two backward and turning to spring upcourt".
I agree that he is often on the court when the action is on his end, but normally not kneeling. I'm just not sure his habit of being on the court had any involvment in this case.

I did see during our last game at CU, Altman on the court grabbing a ref on both shoulders discussing the game.
May I ask when had it ever been appropriate to stand on the court, approach the ref and grab him by both shoulders to address a game situation?
It's on tape if nobody believes me? What do you think would happen if Marshall grabbed a ref on the sideline with both hands on his shoulders?

Now, Marshall grabbing a ref (which I don't think he would ever do) is something for the ref to fear (particularly if Marshall has that now-famous scowl on his face). That look alone would quell me.
