Thought it might be a good idea to put bracketology findings all in one topic.

    Here's a couple with WSU as a 10-seed.

    OnlineSportsFanatic.com
    Warren Nolan

    An 11-seed:

    fpiforecast

    And a few 12-seeds:

    Joey's Sports Blog
    Rainmaker's Bracketology
    March Madness 10
    Discourse
    Bracketology 101

Bracket Matrix, which aggregates 37 different bracketologies puts us in the "next four out" category.

We are the 6th team out, as of today. Unless, I'm mistaken, this is the first time we've been mentioned by Lunardi's bracketology as even having a chance to be in the tournament. Our at-large chances are NOT 100% shot.

That is interesting. Apparently our UNI win, DU loss, and the results of other "bubble" teams had a positive net effect in Lunardi's mind.

One thing to note, is that we only dropped 4-5 RPI spots after the Drake game.

i personally dont think we have a chance at an at large at the moment. maybe if we win out but with out struggles on the road and trips still to uni and siu where we havent won in forever i dont see that happening. we dont have enough quality wins unfortunately some of our non conference opponents didnt end up being as good as we hoped.

We actually lost by 2 in OT at UNI 2 years ago and beat them in Frostbite Falls 3 years ago.

14-4 or 13-5, assuming the only losses at either UNI or SIU, a bracket buster win, and a trip to the Valley championship game, and I think there is a legitimate shot. Except Drake, there are no real bad losses in my opinion.

I'm not saying that this team will go 11-2 the rest of the way in, but if that happens I think an at large is very well deserved.

i was speaking of siu where we havent won in years.

I'm still a little puzzled, but the Bracket Matrix has us among the "next four out", essentially in the same spot Lunardi has us. This time last week we were 6-7 spots lower than that. Since that site is just an aggregate of a lot of other bracketologies, some are more up-to-date than others. But from what I've seen, most of them come out with new ones on Monday.

Of course, this really doesn't mean much of anything except that some guys who fancy themselves as college bball enthusiasts and have received some degree of following, think WSU is still in the picture.

Sorry, I thought you were grouping UNI in there too. I see what you were saying now.

For all the doom and gloom over the past week, I thought it might be nice to spread a little more good cheer. Like I've been saying lately, WSU does not play in a vacuum. Many other teams are struggling down the stretch. Our opportunity this week has turned out to be pretty significant.

                    A) Revenge against a team that beat us (EU)
                    B) Shocks biggest road game of the year (USU)

The newest Bracketology from ESPN thinks we're still just on the outside looking in (Next 4 Out), meaning that the loss to EU didn't cripple us. We've still got a top 50 rpi.

Maybe more important than many would even realize is that Illinois St. is now the proud owner of a top 100 rpi. There are now 5 Valley teams in the top 100, with Bradley on the brink.

Here's to a better week than the last.

I don't see where we are getting any votes.

Don't let the team know this. They seem to not play as well when they think they're better than what they are.

I didn't really follow what happened to other bubble teams after we lost to Evansville. I don't know if the teams Lunardi has listed on the side are in some kind of order, but if they are, we are the 7th team out. We were the 8th team out last week. That makes no sense to me at all.

We dropped like 5 spots after our loss at a ranked UNI team.

Utah State got some love from the coaches poll this week also. 3 votes.

Keep winning, it's a madhouse out there.
