Yes sir there are. In our last 6 games, we allowed Tech to outscore us in the 2nd half by 12, North Dakota 3, Ill St 16 and SMS 16. I will take a win by 50 or by 1, but this is a trend that cost us a game at Ill St. and almost by SMS and Tech.

We didn't play a great half in the first half against Illinois St. I still say that a road win is a win and you take them any way you can get them.

True, but we had the lead going into halftime at that game. This second half trend of letting teams get over on us allowed Ill St. to come back and beat us.

There are very few perfect games. The other team tries to win too. MSU is a good team and has won all of their home games and had an RPI in the 20s or 30s by beating some excellent teams. We won. That's the story. The team will go over the film and try to improve from it.

Hey, I'm not complaining about this win. Road wins are huge and I'm estatic. I just want this team to learn to start putting their foot down on the opponents throat in the second half. That's all.

As well they should. But that doesn't change the fact that there is a pattern of not playing well in the 2nd half developing. That HAS to change if we want to be a contender. You DO NOT let teams back into games when you have the kind of lead that we did. It is UNACCEPTABLE.

He's just saying that there has been a trend over many of the recent games that the Shox have come out and let up on the intensity in the 2nd half which helps the opponent gain confidence (when they are good teams) which is a dangerous game to play.

I do agree that it's disturbing, but I just have a feeling this Shocker team will overcome more than not. Plus, while it's somewhat disturbing, we have won all of the games recently except for 1...so I'll take that any day of the week. What that tells me is that this team is generally pretty dang good with the game is on the line.

On a more positive note, our RPI jumped 21 spots. Warrennolan says were are at 60 now. Our SOS still sucks at 229 but that's an afterthought with tonight's win.

That's right. We control everything in every game. We got a big win. I guarantee you that in future games we will win some first halves and some second halves. There are no gimmees.
