Watching SIU vs Illinois St right now on ESPNU. Man, Carmichael is something else for ISU red. Pretty impressive for a freshman.

What a great environment for an TV game...

Freeman is good.
Eldridge is better.

SIU just seems to lack the fire and smarts that has characterized the program for so long.

Carmichael is pretty good for a freshman.

I agree with Freeman vs Eldridge. SIU is pretty decent in the open court. Also seem to have pretty good shooters which would explain why they are statistically the best offensive team in the Valley scoring 76ppg and 47.5% FG. That may be why they don't have quite the fire they used to knowing they can score more than 50 points per game LOL

I think it was discussed on the ISU game thread. Jank used his Manhattan connections... Something like that.

Gross did say that they are recruiting Wichita and the state hard, but that they will go anywhere they have to to get the best players.

No mentions of specifics, of course, but he did say that Wichita has some good players. :D
