IMHO, we're going to need something like a 15-3 record in the Valley to have a legitimate shot at an at-large.

A record lke that should have WSU being a contender for top-25 - not just a team getting a few scattered votes. I think it's going to take something like a national top-30 or so ranking for an at large out of the Valley, particularly with the implosion created by the loss of SIU and CU as potential quality wins.

I think publicity is going to have the biggest impact on WSU's at-large chances. I think 15-3 in conference would guarantee an at-large spot. I think they would still have an outside shot if they were to go something like 12-6 and make it to the MVC championship. A win @ Creighton next Saturday, and against UNI on ESPNU, I think would do wonders for WSU's chances. I'm not sure how many other games are on ESPN.
