After CUs stellar noncon I hope they lose. Them winning games like this right now doesn't do the Valley or the Shox any good. The lower they finish this year the better.
Agreed. Go Panthers!
UNI will have plenty of opportunities down the road to falter.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

If you're one who buys into the "What's good for the Valley" kumbya crap, I don't see how you could possibly want a Creighton victory. After their performance in the non-con, their beating any team is an indictment against that team and, by extension, the league that team plays in.
It's best the Valley treat Creighton like the redheaded stepchild they've acted like thus far.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.
During the OOC, the rising tide theory applies. Once the conference schedule gets underway, it's mostly every man for himself.
The groundwork for getting multiple teams in is done mostly in the OOC, when the teams build their NCAA resumes and RPI (to establish good/bad wins/losses among league brethren). If UNI beating CU on the road makes it more difficult for WSU to win the conference, then I want CU to win. I'm now in a WSU-first, all others be damned mindset. That may change at some point if we're comfortably "in" or definitely "out".
If WSU weren't a contender I would pull for a UNI victory.

Permission to respectively disagree? I see your theory and I can understand it but, yet, you posted a link to a story that said Parity would be bad for the valley? I do see both sides here but go UNI!!!
I hope Creighton loses. We don't need CREIGHTON getting a head of steam started so early in the season! I hate UNI (actually I don't hate them, just dislike them in a normal Valley rival sense) much less than I hate CU!
Go Panthers!
Hhmmm... I wonder if Creighton is flying under the radar? 8)
As much as it pains me to say it, I hope Creighton wins tonight. We don't need UNI picking up a good road game so early in the season. Heck, I hope all the road teams except WSU lose tonight.
I've got to go with CU in this one. Two teams have the opportunity to grab a big road win tonight - WSU and UNI. If WSU gets one and UNI doesn't - that's good for WSU. If both UNI and WSU get a good road win, then the plus for WSU isn't as big. If UNI beats CU and WSU loses - that's a pretty big hole to dig out of if WSU is going to win the conference.
You pretty much have to hope for the home teams to hold court against the contenders when they visit. Right now I'm not considering CU a contender. I imagine they will end up being one, but I'll let them have a home W against UNI. I don't think that will help CU that much.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
