AP/Coaches Poll 12/28

Like others have said the recognition is nice, but I just want our team to stay focused on the game that is in front of them this week. I really do believe our team has the potential to win the Valley this year, but they will do it only by keeping focused on that task at hand and slugging it out with every team on the schedule every week. Being ranked in the top 25 will be of little consolation if they are watching everyone else play in March/April.

Being in the top 64 and un-ranked is better than ranked at sitting at home.

Last time I remember something like this (getting votes that frankly we do not deserve) was in the 80s and Coach Fogler took his team and was dismantled by Miami if memory serves me correctly.

Votes we do not deserve? what are you talking about....maybe if we were actually in the top 25 i understand the comment, but for 15-20 teams just "getting votes" we deserve it as much as anyone else there....

What I thought was interesting is how did we drop from two people's ballets after winning a game.. Doesn't make sense.

I know if I were voting in such a poll, wins and losses wouldn't be all I looked at. How a team wins or loses is significant, as well.

Well WSU doesn't have to worry now, they proved they didn't deserve them tonight.

I think at Koch Arena ...we are a Top 25 team. I know that doesn't bode well for the overall outlook on things...but we are a much much better team at home than on the road in Valley games.

how many away games did we win in 2006 in the valley??
