This comes up on occasion and is not true. Patrick Ewing was at the game, however, he was not dressed to play. He was in street clothing.

Because of the rule that high school seniors could play in a limited number of postseason games, by the time that the McDonald's game was held in Wichita, Ewing was prevented from playing, because he had already exceeded the limit.

I was at the game and on the floor to the right of the tunnel when he walked in. I was surprised to see him there, because the newspaper (Eagle) indicated that he would not be, as a result of the limitation on postseason play. He definitely was at the game, but he was not suited up to play. He cheered for the East from the bench.

      How about post-collegiate players:

Buck Buchanan and Otis Taylor, Jim Lynch, Jerrell Wilson, et al, when the Kansas City Chiefs players played an exhibition game.

Buck Buchanan played center and for some reason when the ball was thrown into him and he went to the basket, the opposing player backed away. I still do not understand why? <grin>

I think he scored 30+ points that night. Let's just say that when Buck decided to go to the basket, there was no stopping him! He played basketball like he played football -- the opposing player beware!

Lou Hudson and I believe Dave Bing, in an All-Star game held in the Roundhouse in 1966.

          Meadowlark Lemon

          Curley Neal

Not college players but fun anyway. You really can never see too many 1/2 court hook shots, buckets of water on fans, or opponent's pants around the ankles.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."
