Texas Christian rolls into town tomorrow night for the beginning of the "meaty" part of our schedule. We have got to find a way to keep our big guys out of foul trouble, though. We should win this one.

    Xavier McDaniel 71

According to their website, the biggest crowd they played in front of was at Nebraska -- 9799-- and they lost that one 90-77. At home they only average 2899, probably due to football. I hear they may have a decent football team. :)

Everyone needs to show up tomorrow night and scream until they are hoarse. We need this win to boost our RPI.

Their big 6-9 Croatian senior, Zvonko Buljan, averages 14.4 pts & 10.4 rebounds/game. Stutz & Durley are going to have to work hard to contain him.

      #15 Zvonko Buljan
      He is a wild man
      6-9 forward
      Averages 14.4
      Croatia
Shoots shots, slings shots, sets up high and likes to drive left.

      #13 Edvinas Ruzgas
      6-6 guard
      Averages 14.3
      Lithuania

      #5 Ronnie Moss
      6-2 Point guard
      Averages 17.7
      Not lightning quick, but quick.

      Notes:
      5 foreign players
3 players above provide 66% of offense.

        re:

Not that it means much, but interesting nonetheless, realtimerpi.com has the following:

        WSU - 73
        TCU - 56
with WSU an 85% chance of winning

        and
        WSU - 76
        TT - 77
with a virtual toss up 50/50% chance of winning

          re:

Last year's TCU game, Buljan killed us with 17 and 10, including 3-3 from 3 pt range (maybe we put Ellis on him?)

          Ruzgas had 16.

We got outscored at the FT line by 11 and shot 25% from 3. Also got outrebounded for one of the few times all year.

68-61 Shocks. We are sadder but wiser from last years experience with TCU.

we will surprise TCU. We're a different team from a year ago and they won't know what hit them (ask UMKC) - plus we're at home. We win another game by double digit margins.

After the patsyfest, I hope this team remembers what it's like to play a real opponent.

TCU isn't great, but they're decent. I really have this sinking feeling that this is a potential trap game with an unbeaten ranked team lurking afterward.

I hope the guys come out focused. The good news is I think the crowd will be back to "normal" and into it from the get-go.

With that said, this is a winnable game and it really is a must-win if this team wants to sniff high-level post-season.

                            TCU - 62

I don't know if the crowd is "back to normal" yet. There are a nice group of tickets left all over the building on the marketplace. Plenty of general admission as well. It's sad to say this but we may not have a normal (2004-2006) crowd until Texas Tech. If a team like Tech came into our building during Turgeon's Era, CKA would have been hopping like mad.

A lot of hearts were broken after our program made such huge strides backward when Turgeon bailed.

Maybe we could just blame the crowds on the economy...
