I think the Shock starters showed the effects tonight of playing 4 games in 8 days. They worked hard on improving their defense in these games and that takes a lot of energy.

JT was all but MIA again. Garrett had his first below average game in 5. Toure' was off his best game (by a lot), 1-13 from 3, too many fouls etc.

All those areas where we know we can improve and still a blowout win.
I am a bit disappointed though that we have yet to have a "complete" game. Yes, it's nice to win big while still having a lot to improve on, but this has happened for all 3 home games.

I guess it's just the sloppiness of our competition rubbing up against us?

Then again, we are using a lot of guys and getting them a lot of minutes.

      Need. To. Win. At. KC.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

I agree, but having watched alot of basketball this year I haven't seen hardly any teams play complete games. I think it's a combination of the opponents we are playing and it still being in the first half of the season. I'm sure the guys were prepared and ready to play, but I'm also sure it's pretty tough to "get up" for these kind of teams. I don't think we'll see that problem against TCU or Tech in our next couple of home games.

Of course as you said we need to win up in KC Wednesday. We just HAVE to get that monkey off our back!

Overall still alot more positives than negatives with this team. We'll see how it carries over with harder competition soon. I'm hopefull the Shox will continue to play very well.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

I'm not a leave early guy and I didn't tonight but I was tempted. That was a real snooze fest towards the end. I hope we do the same thing to UMKC when I go up there Wednesday.

KC Shox, see you at the game?
I wish. I am still recovering from my near death experience.
